    Is PMI-RMP worth it for professionals in Vietnam?

    Yes. As public investment surges and banks tighten project-risk monitoring, certified risk specialists are scarce and in demand across Vietnam's banking, construction, energy and IT sectors. Senior project roles average around VND 826 million a year, with risk leaders earning more.

    Do I need a PMP before taking PMI-RMP?

    No. PMP is not a prerequisite for PMI-RMP. You can apply directly based on your risk management experience and education. Many holders do carry both, as the credentials are complementary, but PMI-RMP stands on its own as a specialist qualification.

    What are the prerequisites for PMI-RMP?

    PMI offers three routes. With a secondary diploma: 36 months of risk experience in the last 5 years plus 40 hours of risk education. With a bachelor's degree: 24 months plus 30 hours. With a GAC-accredited degree: 12 months plus 30 hours. Experience must be specifically in project risk.

    How long is the PMI-RMP certification valid?

    PMI-RMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements cycle and pay the renewal fee.

    Is the exam fee included in the training price?

    No. PMI bills the PMI-RMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, and it is not part of the training fee. PMI membership reduces the exam cost and gives free access to the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

    What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

    The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and a duration of 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book, with single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice questions, delivered via Pearson VUE online proctoring or at a test centre.

    What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

    Per the January 2022 ECO there are five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%). Analysis carries the most weight.

    What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

    You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our practice questions, mock exams and post-training support are built to help you pass, and re-examination fees apply to later attempts.

    Where can I take the PMI-RMP exam?

    You can take it online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website.

    What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

    PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    What topics does the PMI-RMP training cover?

    The training covers all five domains of the current PMI-RMP ECO: risk strategy and planning, risk identification, qualitative and quantitative analysis, risk response, and monitoring and closing risks, across predictive, agile and hybrid delivery.

    Does this training meet the PMI-RMP education requirement?

    Yes. The programme provides 32 contact hours of risk management education, which fully satisfies the 30-hour requirement for bachelor's-degree and GAC-accredited-degree candidates. Secondary-diploma candidates need 40 hours and should add supplementary study.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 115-question, 2.5-hour format, plus topic-wise quizzes to help you find weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Is the courseware aligned to the latest PMI-RMP syllabus?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline, effective January 2022, and draws on the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management and the PMBOK Guide.

    Can a project manager without deep risk experience take this?

    Yes. The training is structured to take you from core concepts to advanced tools, so project managers broadening into risk can follow it comfortably. Note that PMI's own experience prerequisites still apply when you sit the exam.
