Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a combined EXIN BCS programme that awards two credentials: the EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis and the EXIN BCS Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Practice. Both are developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

    General

What is the Business Analysis Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a combined EXIN BCS programme that awards two credentials: the EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis and the EXIN BCS Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Practice. Both are developed in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

Who should take this business analysis course in Vietnam?

It suits aspiring business analysts, IT professionals moving into a BA role, product owners, and practising analysts who want to formalise their knowledge. It is a strong fit for professionals in Vietnam's banking, fintech and software sectors.

Is the EXIN BCS Business Analysis certification recognised in Vietnam?

Yes. EXIN operates in over 165 countries and BCS is the UK's chartered professional body for IT, so the credentials are recognised internationally, including by employers across Vietnam's IT, BFSI and fintech industries.

Is this business analysis certification worth it?

Yes. Business analysis is in strong demand in Vietnam, with senior BA salaries averaging around VND 650M per year and roles growing across digital banking and fintech. Two recognised credentials help you stand out and progress into senior and product roles. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

How long are the EXIN BCS Business Analysis certifications valid?

Both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications are for lifetime. Neither credential expires, and there is no renewal, re-examination or continuing education requirement.

    Pricing

How much does business analysis certification training cost in Vietnam?

Training fees vary by format and schedule, so pricing is available on request. The fee covers accredited courseware, trainer-led sessions and exam preparation. Request a quote for current pricing and upcoming batches.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes EXIN BCS accredited courseware, instructor-led sessions across both levels, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions, dual-exam guidance and learner support. Contact us to confirm inclusions for your chosen format.

Are the exam vouchers included in the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion depends on the package you choose. EXIN sets exam pricing by region and channel, and vouchers are commonly bundled into accredited training packages. Ask an advisor to confirm what your enrolment includes.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts in Vietnam?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for product teams, BA practices and transformation groups. Ask about corporate and group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the EXIN BCS Business Analysis exams?

Both exams are closed book. The Foundation exam uses single-answer multiple-choice questions testing knowledge and comprehension. The Practitioner exam uses scenario-based multiple-choice questions that test applying business analysis techniques to realistic project situations.

How many questions are on each exam and what is the pass mark?

Each exam has 40 questions and runs for 60 minutes. The passing score for both is 65%, which is 26 out of 40 questions correct.

Do I need to pass Foundation before Practitioner?

The Foundation certificate has no prerequisites and is open to all. The Foundation certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level, and the combined programme is designed to be taken in that order.

Where can I take the exams in Vietnam?

Both exams can be taken online through EXIN's online proctored exam system, or at an EXIN accredited testing location. They are usually arranged through an accredited training provider as part of the combined programme.

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You can resit the exam you did not pass; EXIN sets the re-sit policy and any re-examination fee. Our mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to prepare you thoroughly for both exams. Contact us for re-sit details.

    Course Content

What topics does the Foundation level cover?

The Foundation level covers 14 topic areas, including what business analysis is, investigation techniques, stakeholder analysis, business process modelling, requirements engineering, business case development and delivering the solution, aligned to the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

What does the Practitioner level cover?

The Practitioner level covers 7 applied topic areas, including the rationale for business analysis, strategic context, understanding the current situation, stakeholder management, modelling business activities, identifying solutions and building the business case, all assessed through scenarios.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full mock exams for both the Foundation and Practitioner formats, plus industry case studies, to help you find weak areas and build exam readiness.

Which standard is the courseware aligned to?

The courseware is aligned to the current EXIN BCS Foundation and Practitioner examination specifications and the BCS Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BCS BoK), which underpins both credentials.

Do I need prior experience or a degree to start?

No. The Foundation level has no formal education or work experience requirements and is open to all. The Practitioner level builds on Foundation knowledge and is aimed at those applying business analysis skills in real project contexts.
