    Industry Challenges Driving PRINCE2 Demand

    Rising Project Failure Rates

Too many projects still miss cost, time or quality targets. PRINCE2's stage control and business-case focus give teams a proven way to keep delivery on track.

PRINCE2 builds structured governance and control

    Shortage of Certified Project Talent

Employers across IT, government and construction struggle to find managers who can run projects to a recognised standard. Certified PRINCE2 practitioners fill that gap.

PRINCE2 makes certified practitioners stand out

    Fragmented Delivery Methods

Teams often mix ad hoc approaches with little consistency. PRINCE2 gives an organisation one shared method, from starting up a project to closing it.

PRINCE2 gives teams one common language

    Pressure for Governance and Accountability

Boards and regulators demand clear control over investment. PRINCE2's manage-by-exception principle builds the accountability that leaders now expect.

    PRINCE2 builds accountability into delivery

    Agile and Hybrid Complexity

As delivery blends waterfall and agile, teams need governance that flexes. PRINCE2 7 adds tailoring, agile and sustainability so managers adapt without losing control.

PRINCE2 7 integrates tailoring and agile

    Global, Distributed Projects

Cross-border teams need methods that carry everywhere. PRINCE2 is recognised in over 200 countries, letting certified managers lead consistently anywhere.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined project management qualification from AXELOS, delivered by PeopleCert. Foundation confirms you understand the PRINCE2 method; Practitioner confirms you can apply and tailor it to real projects. It is based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined project management qualification from AXELOS, delivered by PeopleCert. Foundation confirms you understand the PRINCE2 method; Practitioner confirms you can apply and tailor it to real projects. It is based on the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023).

Who should take this PRINCE2 course?

It suits aspiring and practising project managers, team members working in PRINCE2 environments, and PMP or CAPM holders who want a methodology-specific credential. There are no prerequisites for Foundation, so beginners can start here and progress to Practitioner.

    Is PRINCE2 recognised worldwide?

Yes. PRINCE2 is one of the most widely recognised project methods globally, with particular strength in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Commonwealth markets. PeopleCert operates in over 200 countries and more than a million PRINCE2 certificates have been issued.

What is new in PRINCE2 7?

The 7th edition (2023) introduces the People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, and adds commercial management, agile and sustainability considerations. Our courseware is aligned to this current PRINCE2 7 edition.

How long are the PRINCE2 certifications valid?

Both credentials are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points per cycle. Practitioner is renewed by re-sitting the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

Is the PRINCE2 certification worth it?

Yes. Certified practitioners in the US average over 100,000 dollars a year and earn 15 to 22 percent more than Foundation-only peers. PRINCE2 is required or preferred across IT, government, consulting and infrastructure roles. Talk to a learning advisor about your goals.

    Pricing

How much does the PRINCE2 course cost?

Training is priced by format and region and is available on request. The two PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately and vary by country and delivery channel. Request a quote for current pricing on live online, classroom or corporate options.

What is included in the course fee?

The training fee typically includes accredited courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates and learner support, plus guidance for both the Foundation and Practitioner exams and a course completion certificate.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

PeopleCert exam fees are usually quoted separately, though many accredited packages bundle both exams with the training. Pricing varies by region and channel, so confirm the current fees when you enrol. Ask an advisor about bundled options.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for project teams, PMOs and departments. Contact us for a tailored quote for your organisation.

What payment methods and instalment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are in the PRINCE2 programme?

Two separate PeopleCert exams. The Foundation exam has 60 questions in 60 minutes, closed book, passing at 60 percent (36 of 60). The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks in 150 minutes, open book, also passing at 60 percent (42 of 70).

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

Foundation is a closed-book exam of 60 multiple-choice, single-answer questions in 60 minutes. You need 60 percent, or 36 correct, to pass. It tests your knowledge and understanding of the PRINCE2 method at comprehension level.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted during the Practitioner exam. You can refer to it, but questions require analysis and judgment in project scenarios, not just look-up, so time management is essential across the 150 minutes.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

You can sit both exams online through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctoring, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. Exams are usually arranged through your accredited training package.

What if I do not pass the first time?

If you do not pass, you can re-sit the exam. Our training includes mock exams and exam preparation support to help you prepare thoroughly. Re-sit fees and policies are set by PeopleCert. Ask our advisors about our exam support.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 training cover?

The programme covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (business case, organising, plans, quality, risk, issues and progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring, agile integration and exam technique for both levels.

Do I need experience to take the Foundation level?

No. Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, making it suitable for beginners and those new to PRINCE2. The training builds your knowledge step by step before you progress to the applied Practitioner level.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive accredited courseware aligned to PRINCE2 7, references to the Managing Successful Projects manual, practice questions, mock exams, an exam simulator, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes to support your revision.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PRINCE2 edition?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the Managing Successful Projects manual, and to the current PeopleCert Foundation and Practitioner syllabi.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and an exam simulator that mirror both the closed-book Foundation and open-book Practitioner formats, helping you identify weak areas and build readiness.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the PRINCE2 course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Our team can guide you through the steps.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live online (live virtual) instructor-led training, self-paced e-learning, classroom training, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

How soon can I start the training?

New batches run regularly across time zones, and self-paced learning lets you start straight away. See upcoming schedules or talk to a learning advisor to pick the next batch that suits you.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans allow you to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
