    Is PRINCE2 recognised worldwide?

    Yes. PRINCE2 is one of the most widely recognised project methods globally, with particular strength in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Commonwealth markets. PeopleCert operates in over 200 countries and more than a million PRINCE2 certificates have been issued.

    What is new in PRINCE2 7?

    The 7th edition (2023) introduces the People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, and adds commercial management, agile and sustainability considerations. Our courseware is aligned to this current PRINCE2 7 edition.

    How long are the PRINCE2 certifications valid?

    Both credentials are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points per cycle. Practitioner is renewed by re-sitting the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

    Is the PRINCE2 certification worth it?

    Yes. Certified practitioners in the US average over 100,000 dollars a year and earn 15 to 22 percent more than Foundation-only peers. PRINCE2 is required or preferred across IT, government, consulting and infrastructure roles. Talk to a learning advisor about your goals.

    How many exams are in the PRINCE2 programme?

    Two separate PeopleCert exams. The Foundation exam has 60 questions in 60 minutes, closed book, passing at 60 percent (36 of 60). The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks in 150 minutes, open book, also passing at 60 percent (42 of 70).

    What is the format of the Foundation exam?

    Foundation is a closed-book exam of 60 multiple-choice, single-answer questions in 60 minutes. You need 60 percent, or 36 correct, to pass. It tests your knowledge and understanding of the PRINCE2 method at comprehension level.

    What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

    The PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted during the Practitioner exam. You can refer to it, but questions require analysis and judgment in project scenarios, not just look-up, so time management is essential across the 150 minutes.

    Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

    You can sit both exams online through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctoring, available 24/7, or at a PeopleCert authorised test centre. Exams are usually arranged through your accredited training package.

    What if I do not pass the first time?

    If you do not pass, you can re-sit the exam. Our training includes mock exams and exam preparation support to help you prepare thoroughly. Re-sit fees and policies are set by PeopleCert. Ask our advisors about our exam support.
