    Course Content

    What topics does the training cover?

    Fundamentals covers project setup, work breakdown structures, task dependencies, the critical path, resources, baselines, tracking and built-in reports. Advanced adds task types, resource levelling, cost and Earned Value management, custom views and reports, and master projects.

    What will I be able to do after the Fundamentals level?

    You will be able to create a project and calendar, build a task list with summary tasks, subtasks and milestones, link tasks with dependencies, identify the critical path, assign resources, set a baseline, track progress and generate built-in status reports.

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    The Advanced level covers Fixed Units, Fixed Duration and Fixed Work task types, resource pools and levelling, cost tracking and Earned Value (SPI, CPI, BCWP), custom fields, tables, views and reports, and inserting subprojects into a master project with cross-project links.

    Is the training hands-on?

    Yes. Both levels are delivered with live Microsoft Project exercises throughout. You follow along in the tool as the instructor demonstrates each feature, building proficiency through realistic project scenarios rather than theory alone.

    Does the course align with project management frameworks?

    Yes. Microsoft Project is the scheduling tool practitioners use to apply methods from the PMI PMBOK Guide, PRINCE2, the Critical Path Method and Earned Value Management. The training helps you put those principles into practice in the software.
