    For Individuals

    For Individuals

This training helps planners, coordinators, and project managers build genuine software fluency in Microsoft Project, not just theory. Whether you are moving off spreadsheets, stepping up from occasional use, or taking on larger portfolios in IT, construction, engineering, or consulting, the two levels meet you where you are.

If you want a practical, in-demand skill that shows up in job descriptions across sectors, Microsoft Project fluency is a clear win. You gain the scheduling, resourcing, and tracking capability that turns a plan into a tool you can actually manage delivery with.

    • Plan and control projects confidently using the tool employers expect
    • Move from manual trackers to dynamic, dependency-linked schedules
    • Qualify for planner, scheduler, PMO, and project controls roles

Master the Critical Path and Deadlines

Identify the critical path, read total and free float, and use constraints and deadlines to protect key dates without over-constraining your schedule or losing flexibility.

    Assign and Balance Resources

Create work, material, and cost resources, assign them with the right units, spot over-allocation, and level workloads so your plan stays realistic and your team is not overloaded.

    Track Progress Against a Baseline

Set baselines, record actual progress with percent complete and actual values, and use the Tracking Gantt and variance tables to catch slippage early and report status with confidence.

    Manage Cost and Earned Value

Track costs, apply budget resources, and calculate Earned Value metrics such as SPI, CPI, and Estimate at Completion to prove schedule and cost performance to stakeholders.

    Report and Scale Across Projects

Build custom fields, views, tables, and reports, then consolidate several plans into a master project with cross-project links for true program-level control and reporting.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Microsoft Project Training is a practical, instructor-led course that teaches you to plan, schedule, resource, and track projects using Microsoft Project. It runs at two levels, Fundamentals for new users and Advanced for experienced users, with hands-on exercises throughout and no exam.

    General

    What is Microsoft Project Training?

Microsoft Project Training is a practical, instructor-led course that teaches you to plan, schedule, resource, and track projects using Microsoft Project. It runs at two levels, Fundamentals for new users and Advanced for experienced users, with hands-on exercises throughout and no exam.

Who should take this Microsoft Project course?

The course suits project managers, coordinators, planners, schedulers, PMO analysts, and team leads who plan or report on projects. Fundamentals is ideal for new or occasional users, while Advanced is built for those who already use the software regularly.

Is Microsoft Project Training worth it?

Yes. Microsoft Project is the most widely used dedicated scheduling tool and appears in job descriptions across construction, IT, engineering, and consulting. Practical fluency helps you qualify for planner, scheduler, and project controls roles that pay well in the current market.

What are the two levels of the course?

Fundamentals (2 days, 16 hours) covers project setup, tasks, dependencies, the critical path, resources, baselines, and tracking. Advanced (3 days, 24 hours) covers advanced scheduling, resource leveling, cost and Earned Value, custom reports, and multi-project programs. You can take either level independently.

Do I get a certificate after the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after finishing the program. This is a non-certification, skills-first course, so there is no external exam or credential, just practical Microsoft Project skills you can apply immediately.

    Pricing

How much does Microsoft Project Training cost?

Pricing depends on the level you choose, the delivery format, and whether you enroll as an individual or a group, so it is available on request. Talk to a learning advisor for current dates and a quote that fits your needs.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes live instructor-led sessions, structured courseware, hands-on exercises on realistic scenarios, practice resources, and a course completion record. Exact inclusions vary by level and format, so confirm the details when you enroll.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customized content and volume-based pricing for PMOs, engineering teams, and delivery groups. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

Do I need a Microsoft Project license, and is it included?

You should have Microsoft Project installed and accessible on your device for the hands-on exercises. Microsoft Project is a separate commercial product from Microsoft Corporation, so check with us whether a trial license is provided or whether you need to arrange your own.

Are payment or installment options available?

Yes. We accept major cards and bank transfers and offer installment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that works best for you.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for Microsoft Project Training?

No. Neither the Fundamentals nor the Advanced level includes an exam. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Microsoft Project exercises on realistic project scenarios, and you receive a course completion record on finishing.

How is learning reinforced during the course?

You practice every feature in the software as the trainer demonstrates it, using realistic project scenarios. This applied, practice-based approach builds genuine proficiency, so you can create and manage a project plan on your own by the end.

What will I be able to do after the Fundamentals level?

You will be able to create a project file, configure the calendar, build a task list with summary tasks and milestones, link tasks with dependencies, identify the critical path, assign resources, set a baseline, track progress, and generate built-in status reports.

What will I be able to do after the Advanced level?

You will be able to apply the three task types, connect a shared resource pool, run resource leveling, calculate Earned Value metrics such as SPI and CPI, build custom fields, views, and reports, and consolidate subprojects into a master project with cross-project links.

Do I receive proof of completion?

Yes. On meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning that recognizes your practical Microsoft Project skills. It is a record of training completed, not a certification exam credential.

    Course Content

What topics does the Fundamentals level cover?

Fundamentals covers project setup and calendars, building the work breakdown structure, task durations and milestones, dependencies with lag and lead time, the critical path, work, material, and cost resources, baselines, progress tracking, and built-in reporting.

What topics does the Advanced level cover?

Advanced covers task types and the scheduling formula, resource pools and leveling, cost management and Earned Value, custom fields, views, tables, filters, and reports, master projects and cross-project dependencies, and what-if scenario planning with multiple baselines.

Do I need prior experience to attend?

Not for Fundamentals, which is designed for people new to Microsoft Project; basic familiarity with Windows and Office helps but is not required. For Advanced, you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on experience with the software.

    Is the training hands-on?
