Change Management Careers in VietnamWhere This Certification Can Take You

Change management has become one of Vietnam's most valuable professional capabilities as banks, manufacturers, technology firms and government bodies push through large-scale digital transformation. Why Change Management Skills Are in Demand Across Vietnam

    Weak Digital Culture

Around 15.7% of Vietnamese firms cite the lack of a digital culture or mindset as a barrier to transformation, the exact people-side gap change practitioners are trained to close.

CM-F&P builds culture and adoption skills

    Shortage of Change-Ready Skills

About 17% of enterprises report a lack of digital skills and human resources. Certified change managers help teams build capability and adopt new ways of working.

Foundation and Practitioner close the skills gap

    Transformation at National Scale

The 2026-2030 plan targets support for 500,000 SMEs. Delivering change at this scale demands professionals who can plan, communicate and embed change reliably.

    CM-F&P builds structured change practice

    Banking Regulatory Pressure

Banks are reshaping operations around new digital roadmaps and compliance rules, and need change leaders to guide staff through fast, high-stakes organisational change.

    CM-F&P builds stakeholder engagement skills

    Adoption Lags Investment

With the high cost of new tools cited by nearly 60% of firms, employers cannot afford poor uptake. Change practitioners protect that investment by driving real adoption.

    CM-F&P builds resistance-management skills

    Few Certified Change Leaders

Vietnam has a deep pool of project managers but far fewer credentialed change professionals, making holders of both Foundation and Practitioner rare and sought-after.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a dual-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change management concepts, and Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios. It is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a dual-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change management concepts, and Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios. It is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

Who should take this change management certification in Vietnam?

It suits change managers, project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and leaders who sponsor change. As Vietnamese banks, manufacturers and technology firms accelerate transformation, professionals who can drive adoption are in strong demand.

Is the change management certification worth it in Vietnam?

Yes. Vietnam has a deep pool of project managers but few credentialed change professionals, so the dual credential helps you stand out. Change and transformation roles sit at the senior, better-paid end of the market, with Change Manager pay averaging around VND 840M a year. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

Do I need any prior experience or qualification to start?

No. Change Management Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to everyone regardless of education or experience. To sit the Practitioner exam you first need the Foundation certification, which the combined programme prepares you for.

    Is the certification recognised internationally?

Yes. The change management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is well respected wherever organisational change is a recognised discipline. That makes it a transferable credential across sectors in Vietnam and globally.

    Pricing

What is included in the training fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led training, course materials aligned to the exam syllabi, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions, and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion is confirmed at enrolment. Contact us for a detailed quote for your chosen format.

How much does the change management course cost in Vietnam?

Pricing varies by delivery format (live virtual, classroom or corporate group) and whether exam vouchers are bundled. For current fees in your preferred format, request a quote and a learning advisor will share the details.

Are the two exam fees part of the price?

Exam fee inclusion depends on the package. Some options bundle the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers, while others are training-only. We will confirm exactly what is included before you enrol so there are no surprises.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for HR, PMO and transformation teams. Ask about corporate or group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you best.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 40 minutes. It is closed book with a single-answer format, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is delivered by online proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for a total of 80 marks over 2.5 hours. It is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted, and the pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

It means you may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam. However, the scenario sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient navigation of the guide and deep method knowledge are both essential, which the training builds.

How many exams are there and in what order?

There are two separate exams. You sit and pass the Foundation exam first, then the Practitioner exam. Both must be passed to hold both credentials. The combined programme covers Foundation content first, then Practitioner.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass. Our trainers provide first-attempt guidance, mock exams and exam technique to maximise your chances. Re-sit policies and any fees are confirmed at enrolment, so ask your advisor for the details that apply to you.

    Course Content

What topics does the change management syllabus cover?

It covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation covers them at knowledge level and Practitioner at application and analysis level.

Which change management models will I learn?

You will study a broad range of individual and organisational models, including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Can a beginner take this course?

Yes. Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners are welcome. The programme builds from core concepts to applied practice, with case studies and trainer support, so you gain confidence step by step before the Practitioner-level scenarios.

Is the courseware aligned to the current standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Exam Syllabi, the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, and the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) maintained by the Change Management Institute.

What materials and practice resources are provided?

You receive syllabus-aligned courseware, industry case studies illustrating change models and stakeholder engagement, and Foundation and Practitioner practice questions and mock exams to build readiness for both exams.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches to get started.

What training formats are available in Vietnam?

We offer live virtual instructor-led training (online), classroom sessions, focused one-to-one training and customised corporate group training. Choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

How long is the training and how is it scheduled?

The combined programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days varies with the schedule, from intensive full-day formats to extended part-day options. Ask your advisor which upcoming batches suit you.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or move to another batch where available. Contact our support team and they will help you arrange it.

How soon can I start and who do I contact?

New batches run regularly across live virtual and classroom formats, so you can usually start soon. Talk to a learning advisor to confirm the next available cohort and complete your enrolment.
