What You Gain by Earning the CAPM CredentialValue That Employers Recognise

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Certified CAPM training turns project curiosity into an employable qualification. It suits students, recent graduates, career changers moving in from engineering, finance or marketing, and project team members who support delivery but do not yet lead it. Whether you are targeting an IT services firm in Ho Chi Minh City, a bank in Hanoi or a manufacturer in a northern industrial park, the credential gives hiring managers a reason to shortlist you.

If you want a recognised first step into the profession, the CAPM is the shortest credible route. You gain structured knowledge across the four exam domains, guided practice for the 150-question paper, and an entry-level qualification that travels with you across sectors and borders.

    • Enter project management with a PMI credential instead of waiting years for experience
    • Qualify for project coordinator and project analyst roles that list a PM credential as preferred
    • Build fluency in predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, the mix Vietnamese employers actually run
    • Earn the 23 hours of project management education PMI requires, inside the course fee
    • Stand out in a graduate market where most applicants have no formal PM qualification
    • Speak the shared language of scope, schedule, cost, risk and stakeholders from day one
    • Set up a clear path toward the PMP once you have led projects long enough to qualify
    • Carry a credential recognised by PMI members and employers in more than 200 countries
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

CAPM group training helps organisations in Vietnam close the project delivery skills gap at the entry level, where it is cheapest to fix. Teams learn one consistent method for planning, tracking and reporting work. For employers scaling delivery under FDI-funded and digital transformation mandates, this is a practical way to build capability from the ground up.

If your project teams learn on the job and pick up habits inconsistently, group training creates a common baseline. Coordinators, analysts and junior leads leave with the same frameworks, the same terminology and the same understanding of what good delivery looks like.

    • Give junior staff a shared project vocabulary before they join delivery teams
    • Reduce rework caused by unclear scope, weak estimates and missing requirements
    • Build a feeder pool of project talent instead of competing for scarce senior hires
    • Standardise how predictive and agile work is planned across business units
    • Improve handovers between business analysts, developers and project leads
    • Strengthen graduate onboarding with a structured, credential-backed curriculum
    • Deliver training onsite, live online or blended around your team's schedule
    • Track readiness through practice assessments and trainer feedback

Jobs and Pay After CAPM in VietnamRoles Vietnamese Employers Fill Now

The CAPM maps to the roles Vietnamese employers are filling right now: project coordinator, project analyst, junior business analyst, PMO support and associate scrum roles. Demand is concentrated in IT services and software outsourcing, banking and fintech, FDI manufacturing, and infrastructure, where project volume is rising faster than the supply of people who can plan and track work properly. Salaries climb steeply as you move from coordination into delivery ownership, and here is what the market is paying today.

Market Pressures Making Project Skills Valuable in Vietnam

    Skilled Roles Employers Cannot Fill

Across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, 74 percent of construction employers struggle to fill highly skilled roles and 58 percent say it hits project timelines. Vietnam feels this acutely.

The CAPM proves you can plan and track work

    Digital Transformation at National Scale

Vietnam targets a digital economy worth 30 percent of GDP by 2030, with ministries assigned 20 strategic technology initiatives in 2026. That is a lot of projects needing structured delivery.

Learn the delivery frameworks these programmes need

    FDI Project Volume Outpacing Talent

Vietnam recorded roughly USD 38.4 billion in newly registered FDI in 2025, led by manufacturing and processing. Each new plant and line is a project needing planning discipline.

Certified entry-level talent gets shortlisted first

    Mixed Predictive and Agile Delivery

Vietnamese software firms run agile while their banking and manufacturing clients run plan-based schedules. Teams need people fluent in both, which is exactly what the CAPM syllabus builds.

The exam covers predictive, agile and hybrid

    Requirements Failures Driving Rework

Outsourcing and product teams lose margin to unclear or shifting requirements. Business analysis frameworks carry real weight in the exam because employers keep paying for this gap.

Business analysis is a full CAPM exam domain

    Governance and Compliance Pressure

With the Personal Data Protection Law in force from January 2026, Vietnamese projects face tighter documentation, traceability and governance expectations than ever before.

No formal qualification to show for the project work you already support

    Now you have

A PMI credential that hiring managers in Vietnam and abroad recognise instantly

    Before

The Project Management Skills You Will BuildPredictive, Agile and Business Analysis Foundations

This programme teaches the four domains of the CAPM Examination Content Outline: project management fundamentals and core concepts, predictive plan-based methodologies, agile frameworks and methodologies, and business analysis frameworks. Content is aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide, so what you learn matches what the exam tests and what project teams actually do.

    Project Management Core Concepts

Skills covered in the CAPM start here: what separates a project from a programme or portfolio, how lifecycles and phases work, who does what on a project team, and what a project charter is for. This is the largest slice of the exam and the foundation everything else sits on.

    Predictive Plan-Based Delivery

Plan and control work the traditional way. You will build a work breakdown structure, sequence activities and find the critical path, estimate cost, plan quality and procurement, and manage risk through a register. These are the mechanics of plan-based project delivery.

    Agile and Hybrid Frameworks

Work confidently in agile environments. You will cover the Agile Manifesto, Scrum roles, events and artefacts, Kanban boards and work-in-progress limits, Lean thinking, XP practices, and how hybrid delivery blends agile with plan-based methods on real projects.

    Business Analysis Frameworks

Get requirements right before they cost money. You will learn needs assessment, elicitation techniques such as interviews and workshops, how to document and trace requirements, how to model processes, and how to evaluate whether a solution actually met the need.

    Performance Tracking and Reporting

Show progress in numbers, not opinions. You will apply earned value concepts such as planned value, earned value and actual cost, calculate schedule and cost variance, and communicate status through reports and dashboards that stakeholders trust.

    Exam Readiness and Confidence

Walk into the 150-question, three-hour paper knowing what to expect. Practice questions, chapter quizzes and full mock exams mirror the PMI question style, so you can pace yourself, eliminate distractors and identify weak areas before exam day.

What Our Learners in Vietnam Say

    Untitled

    My Route into Project Management

"I graduated in business administration with no project experience, so the CAPM was my way in. The trainer explained the predictive and agile domains with examples from real software teams, and the mock exams got me comfortable with the question style. I moved into a project coordinator role two months later."

    Finally Understand How Delivery Works

"I was a QA engineer who kept getting pulled into planning meetings without really understanding the process. The business analysis and performance tracking sessions changed that. I can now build a schedule, track variance and explain status to stakeholders without guessing."

    A Clean Career Change

"Switching from banking operations into project work felt risky. The 24-hour course covered the education requirement and gave me enough structure to pass on my first sitting. The Scrum and Kanban modules were immediately useful in my new team."

"We put our graduate intake through the programme before assigning them to client projects. The difference in handovers and status reporting was visible within a quarter. Scheduling around our delivery calendar was handled without fuss."

The Right Credential for Junior Staff

"As an L&D lead I needed an entry-level credential that would not overpromise. The CAPM fitted exactly, and the trainers tailored examples to our manufacturing context. Eighteen of our junior staff completed the course and most have since sat the exam."

Talk to a learning advisor about which roles fit your background.

    General

Is the CAPM worth it in Vietnam?

Yes, if you are early in your career. Project coordinator roles in Vietnam average around 274M VND a year and project manager roles around 660M VND, and the CAPM is the recognised way to enter that ladder without prior project experience. Talk to a learning advisor about which roles fit your background.

What is the CAPM certification and who is it for?

CAPM is the Project Management Institute's entry-level project management credential. It proves you understand the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project management. It is built for students, recent graduates, career changers and project team members who do not yet lead projects.

Do I need work experience to get CAPM certified?

No. CAPM is the only PMI practitioner credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus 23 hours of project management education, which this course provides.

Is the CAPM recognised by employers in Vietnam?

Yes. As a PMI credential, it carries recognition through PMI's network across more than 200 countries and is valued by IT services, banking, manufacturing and construction employers in Vietnam that are scaling project delivery.

How long is the CAPM certification valid?

Three years from the date of certification. Unlike the PMP, CAPM is renewed by retaking and passing the exam within the three-year cycle rather than by accumulating PDUs.

How is CAPM different from the PMP?

CAPM is entry level and needs only 23 contact hours of education with no work experience. PMP is the advanced credential and requires years of leading projects plus 35 contact hours. Most professionals earn the CAPM first, then move to the PMP once they qualify.

    Pricing

What is included in the CAPM training fee?

The fee covers 24 hours of instructor-led training that satisfies PMI's 23-hour education prerequisite, PMI-aligned courseware, chapter quizzes, practice questions, full-length mock exams, application guidance and learner support. Training fees for Vietnam are quoted in VND and available on request. Request a quote to see current options.

How much does CAPM training cost in Vietnam?

Pricing depends on the delivery format you choose, whether live virtual, classroom or corporate group training. Fees for Vietnam are quoted in VND and are available on request. Speak with a learning advisor for a quote that matches your schedule.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the course price?

No. PMI bills the exam fee separately in USD and it varies by region. As a reference, PMI publishes rates of around USD 225 for members and USD 300 for non-members. Confirm the current figure at pmi.org before you apply.

Does PMI membership reduce the cost?

Yes. PMI membership lowers the exam fee and gives you access to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the Agile Practice Guide as member downloads. Membership is billed annually in USD; check pmi.org/membership for the current rate.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer volume-based pricing and customised schedules for corporate and graduate cohorts across Vietnam, delivered onsite or live virtual. Ask about corporate and group pricing for a tailored quote.

    Exam

What happens if I do not pass the CAPM exam first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility window, and a re-examination fee applies to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams, chapter quizzes and trainer feedback are designed to identify weak areas before you sit, so most learners go in prepared.

What does the CAPM exam cover?

The exam covers four domains from the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

The CAPM exam has 150 multiple-choice questions and you get three hours (180 minutes) to complete it. It is a closed-book exam with single-answer and multiple-answer question formats.

Is there a fixed passing score?

No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a published percentage. Your result is reported as pass or fail with performance feedback across the four domains, so aim for solid coverage of all four rather than banking on one.

Where can I take the CAPM exam in Vietnam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring system from home or the office, or at a Pearson VUE authorised test centre. Scheduling is done via PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website once your application is approved.

Which standard is the CAPM exam based on?

The exam follows the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023, aligned to PMI's PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the Agile Practice Guide. Our courseware maps directly to that outline.

    Course Content

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes. The course assumes no prior project management experience. It starts with core concepts such as what a project is and how lifecycles work, then builds through predictive, agile and business analysis content with worked examples and trainer support throughout.

What topics does the CAPM course cover?

All four exam domains: project management fundamentals and core concepts, predictive plan-based methodologies, agile frameworks and methodologies, and business analysis frameworks. You also cover earned value basics, reporting, and full exam preparation.

Does the training satisfy PMI's 23-hour education requirement?

Yes. The programme runs for 24 contact hours, which exceeds PMI's 23-hour project management education prerequisite and fully satisfies it. It qualifies as an instructor-led CAPM course delivered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware follows the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023 and is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the Agile Practice Guide, so what you study reflects what the exam tests.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. You get chapter-wise quizzes, practice questions and full-length mock exams built to mirror the 150-question, three-hour PMI format, so you can pace yourself and find weak areas before exam day.
