Who should take this combined PRINCE2 course?

The course suits aspiring and practising project managers, PMO and project team members, and IT professionals moving into delivery roles. Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners can start, while Practitioner adds the applied skills experienced staff need.

Is PRINCE2 recognised in Costa Rica and internationally?

Yes. PRINCE2 is one of the world's most recognised project management methods, with over a million certificates issued and PeopleCert operating in more than 200 countries. It is valued locally by multinational employers and travels with you worldwide.

How long are the PRINCE2 certifications valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points, and Practitioner is renewed by re-sitting the exam, completing CPD through a PeopleCert MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 (2023) introduces the People capability as a core element, renames the Themes as Practices, and integrates commercial management, sustainability and agile considerations. The method still centres on seven principles, seven practices and seven processes.

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in Costa Rica?

Training fees vary by format, whether live online, classroom or corporate, and the price is available on request. The PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately and vary by region. Request a quote and a learning advisor will confirm the current options for you.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes accredited courseware for both levels, practice questions, mock exams, exam-preparation support and learner support. Confirm exactly what your chosen format includes when you request a quote.

Are the PeopleCert exam fees included?

Exam fees are set by PeopleCert and vary by region and delivery channel. They may be bundled with training or purchased separately, so confirm the current arrangement when you enrol. A learning advisor can walk you through the total investment.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

How many exams are in the combined PRINCE2 programme?

There are two separate PeopleCert exams. You must pass the Foundation exam and the Practitioner exam to hold both credentials. The combined programme prepares you for both, and each is sat and marked independently.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions to complete in 60 minutes. It is closed book with single-answer questions, and the pass mark is 60%, which is 36 out of 60 correct. There are no prerequisites for this level.

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, taken over 150 minutes. It is open book, so the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual is permitted, and it is scenario-based. The pass mark is 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks.

What are the prerequisites for the Practitioner exam?

You need PRINCE2 Foundation, or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA Level A to D. Foundation itself has no prerequisites, so the combined course lets you build from the ground up to Practitioner level.

What happens if I do not pass the first time?

You can re-sit the relevant PeopleCert exam. Our training includes practice questions and mock exams to prepare you thoroughly, and our team can guide you on resitting. Confirm current re-sit policies and fees with PeopleCert before you book.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

You can take both exams online through PeopleCert's OnVUE proctored system, available 24 hours a day, or at an authorised test centre. Most learners in Costa Rica arrange the exams as part of their training package.

How is the training delivered and how long is it?

The combined programme is typically delivered over around 32 hours of training, covering Foundation first and then Practitioner. You can choose live online, classroom or in-company formats to suit your schedule.
