Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a dual-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real scenarios. The combined course prepares you for both exams.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a dual-level qualification covering the knowledge, models and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your understanding of change concepts, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real scenarios. The combined course prepares you for both exams.

Is the Change Management certification worth it in Costa Rica?

Yes. Costa Rica hosts more than 350 multinational service firms running constant transformation, so certified change professionals are in demand. Change and transformation manager roles average around 25.4M colones a year, and the credential is recognised in over 150 countries. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

    Who should take this course?

It suits change managers, project managers, HR business partners, organisational development practitioners, transformation leads and senior leaders who sponsor change. No prior change management knowledge is required to begin.

What are the prerequisites for the certification?

Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The Practitioner exam requires you to hold Change Management Foundation first, which is why the combined programme covers both levels in sequence.

Which standard is the course based on?

The course is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK), maintained by the Change Management Institute, and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide, together with the official Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi.

    Pricing

How much does the Change Management course cost in Costa Rica?

Fees vary by format and schedule and are available on request. The combined package covers both Foundation and Practitioner training and both exam vouchers. Request a quote for current pricing and group options.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes aligned courseware, industry case studies, mock exams and practice questions, both exam vouchers, learner support and a course completion certificate. Confirm the exact inclusions when you enrol.

Are the exam vouchers included in the price?

The combined package typically includes both the Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers. Please confirm current inclusion with our team when you enrol, as this can vary by package.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with tailored schedules and volume-based pricing for HR functions, PMOs and transformation teams. Ask about corporate and group pricing for a tailored quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

How many exams are there in the combined programme?

Two separate exams. The Foundation exam has 50 questions in 40 minutes, closed book, with a 50% pass mark (25 out of 50). The Practitioner exam has 5 sections worth 80 marks total, over 2.5 hours, open book, with a 50% pass mark (40 out of 80).

What is the Foundation exam format?

The Foundation exam is 50 multiple-choice, single-answer questions in 40 minutes. It is closed book, with a pass mark of 50% (25 out of 50 correct), and has no formal prerequisites.

What is the Practitioner exam format?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks (80 marks total), over 2.5 hours. It is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted, and a pass mark of 50% (40 out of 80).

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam, but the scenario questions require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient navigation of the guide and deep method knowledge are both essential.

    How are the exams delivered?

Both exams are delivered by online proctoring or at an authorised test centre, and are typically taken at the end of each stage of training. Our trainers provide first-attempt preparation guidance for both.

    Course Content

What topics does the course cover?

The course covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management, at Foundation and Practitioner levels.

    Which change models are covered?

You will study ADKAR, Kotter's 8-Step Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Bridges' Transition Model, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

Do I need prior experience to take the course?

No. The course is beginner friendly, and Foundation has no prerequisites. It builds from core concepts to applied practice, so professionals from HR, project delivery or leadership can all follow it.

    How long is the training?

The combined programme is 40 hours, typically delivered over 5 days, with Foundation content first and Practitioner content after. Flexible schedules, including extended part-time formats, are available to suit working professionals.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the CMBoK and Practitioner Guide, industry case studies illustrating change models and stakeholder engagement, mock exams and practice questions for both levels.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol and how soon can I start?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and resources. New batches run regularly, so see upcoming schedules to start soon.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online live virtual instructor-led training, classroom training, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

Is online training available in Costa Rica?

Yes. Online (live virtual) instructor-led training is available across time zones, giving professionals in Costa Rica real-time access to expert trainers without travel.

Can I reschedule or transfer my batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans include the option to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back option. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
