The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PfMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing, with lower rates for PMI members. Annual PMI individual membership is around USD 139 and can reduce both the exam fee and renewal costs. Confirm current fees at pmi.org.

What if I do not pass the PfMP exam on the first attempt?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, so you have room to retake if needed. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams, simulator and trainer guidance are designed to build readiness before your first sitting.

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The PfMP exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. It is delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What are the PfMP exam domains and their weights?

Five domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%). PfMP also requires passing a subject-matter-expert panel review alongside the written exam.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

Do I need prior experience before taking this PfMP training?

Anyone can enrol in the training, but the PfMP exam itself is a senior credential. PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience to apply, so the course is aimed at experienced portfolio, PMO and programme leaders who meet those thresholds.

What topics are covered in the PfMP training?

The training covers the five PfMP performance domains: Strategic Alignment, Governance, Portfolio Performance, Portfolio Risk Management and Communications Management, plus guidance on the PfMP application, panel review and exam strategy.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PfMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, an overview of the Standard for Portfolio Management, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness across the five domains.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PfMP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline, so you study against the standard the exam is built on.
