    Is JIRA a certification course?

    No. This is a non-certification skills course, so there is no exam and no external credential. You build practical Jira capability through live exercises and receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning.

    Which levels of JIRA training are available?

    Two levels are available. Fundamentals (2 days, 16 hours) is for new or occasional Jira users. Advanced (3 days, 24 hours) is for experienced users who want to master workflows, schemes, automation, integrations and administration. You can take either level or both in sequence.

    Is JIRA training worth it in Costa Rica?

    Yes. Jira is the standard delivery tool across Costa Rica's nearshore and GCC software teams, so fluent Jira skills help you stand out for roles such as developer, scrum master, business analyst and delivery lead. The training is practical and applies to your work straight away.

    Do I need prior Jira experience to join?

    Not for Fundamentals, which starts from the basics and needs no prior Jira knowledge. The Advanced level assumes you have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Jira experience.

    Do I need a paid Jira licence for the course?

    Is there an exam at the end of JIRA training?

    No. There is no exam at either level. Learning is reinforced through live, hands-on Jira exercises and configuration activities throughout the course.

    Which Jira products does the training cover?

    The course focuses on Jira Software for agile delivery, with Scrum and Kanban boards, roadmaps and reporting. The Advanced level also gives an overview of Jira Service Management and the wider Atlassian ecosystem.

    Course Content

    What does the Fundamentals level cover?

    Fundamentals covers Jira navigation, creating and configuring projects, the issue hierarchy, Scrum and Kanban boards, sprints, roadmaps, versions and components, saved filters, basic JQL and the core agile reports such as velocity and burndown.

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    Advanced covers custom workflow design, permission, notification, screen and field schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, Jira automation, integrations with Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and CI/CD tools, and Jira administration and governance.

    Are there hands-on exercises in the course?

    Yes. Both levels are delivered with live, hands-on exercises in a Jira environment. You configure projects, run boards, build queries and set up automation using realistic software delivery scenarios throughout.

    Does the course cover JQL and reporting?

    Yes. Fundamentals covers saved filters and basic JQL plus core agile reports, while Advanced covers advanced JQL, dashboard gadgets and management reporting so you can turn Jira data into clear, decision-ready insights.

    Does it cover Jira automation and integrations?

    Yes, at the Advanced level. You learn to build no-code automation rules and to integrate Jira with Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for end-to-end DevOps delivery tracking.

    How do I enrol in JIRA training in Costa Rica?

    You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your level and preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, materials and joining details. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a level.

    What training formats are available?

    We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, classroom training, onsite delivery and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and team.

    How long is each level of the training?

    Fundamentals runs over 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced over 3 days (24 hours). Both are also available in extended half-day formats. Confirm current scheduling options when you enrol.
