What the PgMP Certification Training in Saskatoon DeliversUntitledYour Route to Senior Programme Leadership

The Program Management Professional (PgMP) is PMI's senior credential for professionals who manage multiple related projects as one coordinated programme to deliver strategic benefits an organisation could not achieve by running those projects separately. Held by fewer than 3,000 practitioners worldwide, it is one of PMI's most exclusive designations. Invensis Learning's PgMP training in Saskatoon prepares senior programme managers and PMO leaders for both parts of the credential: the multi-rater panel review and the 170-question, four-hour exam. The programme is aligned to the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and covers all five performance domains, from Strategic Program Management to Governance. As Saskatchewan's potash, uranium, agri-food and technology employers scale capital-intensive programmes, they increasingly value leaders who can govern at scale and connect delivery to strategy. With expert-led sessions, application guidance and practice exams, you move from preparation to a globally recognised credential on a clear, supported path.

Industry Forces Fuelling PgMP Demand in Saskatoon

    Governance at Mega-Project Scale

Potash and uranium megaprojects such as BHP Jansen run dozens of interdependent workstreams, yet many organisations lack a programme governance layer to coordinate them. This is the exact gap PgMP is built to close.

PgMP builds strategic alignment and governance skills

    Strategy-Execution Gap

Boards approve multi-year capital and transformation programmes, but weak links between strategy and the funded project mix leak value that certified programme leaders are hired to protect.

PgMP builds prioritisation and benefits skills

    Critical-Minerals Expansion

Saskatchewan's move into copper, zinc and lithium adds new, complex programmes that need portfolio-grade prioritisation, benefits tracking and cross-project coordination at scale.

PgMP builds programme risk and coordination skills

    Programme Talent Scarcity

Saskatoon has a deep pool of PMP project managers but few credentialed programme managers. PgMP's rigorous eligibility and panel review make holders rare and highly valued.

PgMP makes certified programme leaders stand out

    Benefits and Capital Discipline

With record mineral revenue and tight capital discipline, resource, agri-food and energy employers must prove programme value, cutting low-return work and rebalancing to strategy.

    PgMP builds benefits realisation skills

    Public-Sector and Agri-Tech Transformation

Digital transformation across health, education, government and agri-tech is scaling multi-project programmes that demand governance, stakeholder engagement and risk management maturity.

    Exam

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The PgMP exam has 170 multiple-choice questions with a four-hour (240-minute) allotted time. It is closed book and delivered online through Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

The exam covers five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%).

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. You must pass both the panel review and the written exam to earn the credential.

What standard is the PgMP exam based on?

The exam follows the PgMP Examination Content Outline, aligned to The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and its five programme management performance domains.

What is the passing score, and what if I do not pass?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage, with domain-level feedback. You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period; re-examination fees apply to later attempts.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP exam?

PgMP has three eligibility sets. With a four-year degree you need 48 months of project management experience (or an active PMP) plus 48 months of programme management experience; a secondary diploma requires 84 months of programme experience. All must fall within the past 15 years.

    Course Content

What topics does the PgMP training cover?

The training covers all five performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus PMI application guidance and exam strategy.

Can I take this if I am new to programme management?

PgMP is a senior credential, so the exam requires substantial programme experience. The training suits experienced project and programme professionals, and our advisors can confirm whether you meet the eligibility criteria before you enrol.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PgMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, a Standard for Program Management overview, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes.

Are mock exams and practice questions included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question paper.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PgMP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose live virtual, classroom or corporate delivery, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and resources. See upcoming batches or talk to an advisor.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that best fits your schedule in Saskatoon.

What are the steps to certify after training?

After training, submit your PMI application documenting your experience, clear the multi-rater panel review, then schedule the exam through Pearson VUE within your one-year eligibility period. Our team guides you through each step.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer batches, and selected plans include a Flexi Pass to attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange this.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?
