The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination of 170 questions with a four-hour (240-minute) time limit. It is based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and is delivered online proctored or at a test centre.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

The exam covers five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%).

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of program management practitioners evaluates your documented program experience. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score, and what if I do not pass first time?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage, and reports domain-level feedback. You get up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains. Our prep and practice resources support your readiness.

Where can I take the PgMP exam?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through Pearson VUE or the PMI portal within your one-year eligibility window.
