The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and a four-hour (240-minute) time limit. It is delivered online via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, with domain-level feedback, so focus on broad mastery across all five performance domains.

What is the PfMP panel review and application process?

Alongside the written exam, PfMP includes a multi-rater panel review in which portfolio management practitioners assess your documented experience. Both the panel review and the exam must be passed to earn the credential. Our training includes application and panel-review guidance.

What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

Do I need prior experience to benefit from the training?

Anyone can attend the training, and it is built for experienced professionals. To sit the exam, PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience, so the course also helps you prepare a strong application and panel-review submission.

Are practice tests, mock exams and materials included?

Yes. The programme includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PfMP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline.

What are the eligibility requirements to earn the PfMP?

To sit the exam, PMI requires a secondary or bachelor's degree, 120 months (10 years) of professional business experience within the last 15 years, and portfolio management experience (84 months with a secondary degree, 48 months with a bachelor's, or 36 months with a GAC-accredited degree), plus the panel review.

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?
