It is designed for senior programme managers, PMO heads, directors of delivery and transformation leaders with substantial programme experience.

What is the PgMP certification and who is it for?

Is the PgMP worth it for professionals in the Slovak Republic?

Yes. Slovak automotive, IT services, banking and public-sector employers running large programmes increasingly seek certified programme leaders. Senior roles such as Head of PMO and Programme Director command strong salary bands, and fewer than 3,000 practitioners worldwide hold the PgMP, so it is a real differentiator.

Do I need a PMP before taking the PgMP?

No. A PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

What are the PgMP eligibility requirements?

PMI offers three sets. Set A: secondary diploma plus 48 months of project management experience or an active PMP, plus 84 months of programme experience. Set B or C: a degree with 48 or 36 months of each. All experience must fall within the past 15 years.

How long is the PgMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with a minimum of 8 PDUs in each area, within every three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

How much does PgMP training cost in the Slovak Republic?

Training fees vary by format and whether you choose self-paced, live online or corporate delivery, so a current quote is available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD and is not part of the training price. Talk to a learning advisor for pricing that fits your plan.

What is included in the PgMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support, and a course completion certificate with contact hours. Ask us for a full inclusions list.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PgMP exam fee separately, for reference around USD 800 for members and USD 1,000 for non-members, though prices vary and should be confirmed on pmi.org. PMI membership, around USD 139 per year, lowers the exam fee.

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is closed book and uses multiple-choice questions, both single-answer and multiple-answer. It is based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and is delivered online proctored via Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a test centre.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). You are permitted up to three attempts within a one-year eligibility period from application approval.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

Five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). Program Life Cycle Management is the most heavily weighted.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is a mandatory step in addition to the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score and what if I do not pass?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage, with domain-level feedback. If you do not pass, you may retake the exam within your one-year eligibility window, up to three attempts in total, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

Course Content

What topics does the PgMP training cover?

The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus guidance on the PMI application, panel review and exam strategy.

Which standard and edition is the training based on?

The courseware is aligned to The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PgMP Examination Content Outline (ECO). The 4th Edition standard is the primary reference framework for the exam.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the ECO so you can identify weak areas and build readiness for the 170-question exam.

Do you help with the PgMP application?

Yes. We provide structured guidance on documenting your programme management experience for the PMI application and on preparing for the subject-matter-expert panel review, which many candidates find the most demanding step.

How many contact hours does the training provide?

The instructor-led programme delivers 24 contact hours of training, which serve as knowledge consolidation and exam preparation. The PgMP has no mandatory contact-hour prerequisite, unlike some other PMI credentials.

Anyone can attend the training to build programme knowledge and contact hours. To sit the PgMP exam, though, PMI requires the documented project and programme experience set out in its eligibility sets, plus the panel review.
