What Is the CAPM Certification?UntitledYour Entry Point into Project Management

The Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) is the entry-level credential from the Project Management Institute (PMI) for people who want to prove they understand how projects are planned, delivered and controlled. CAPM certification training in Slovak Republic gives you that proof without asking for a single year of project experience first. The exam follows PMI's CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023 and draws on the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition together with the Agile Practice Guide. It covers four domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%). You sit 150 multiple-choice questions in three hours, online through Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a test centre. Eligibility is simple: a secondary degree plus 23 hours of project management education. This 24-hour instructor-led programme satisfies that requirement outright. If you are a graduate, a career changer, or already supporting projects in a Bratislava or Kosice service centre, this is the fastest credible route to being taken seriously as a project practitioner. Begin your CAPM journey with Invensis Learning.

What You Gain by Getting CertifiedRecognition, Roles and Real Confidence

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

Certified CAPM training turns project curiosity into employable competence. The credential tells hiring managers you understand charters, scope, schedules, budgets, risk, backlogs and sprints before you have ever owned a plan of your own. It suits students, recent graduates, career changers moving in from finance, engineering or operations, and project team members who already contribute to delivery but want the role title to match.

In Slovakia, where service centres in Bratislava and Kosice keep moving into higher-value project work, an entry-level PMI credential is a practical differentiator. You finish knowing the four exam domains, the standard behind them, and how the exam actually works.

    • Enter project management with a PMI credential instead of waiting years for experience
    • Qualify for project coordinator, PMO analyst and junior project manager openings
    • Speak the language of predictive, agile and hybrid delivery from day one
    • Stand out in a shrinking Slovak talent pool where employers screen hard on credentials
    • Earn a credential recognised by PMI's network across more than 200 countries
    • Complete the 23 hours of project management education PMI requires, in one programme
    • Build the vocabulary that gets you listened to in status meetings and steering groups
    • Lay the groundwork for PMP later, once you have led projects for long enough
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Group training builds a consistent project foundation across coordinators, analysts and team members who support delivery but were never formally trained. Everyone leaves using the same terms for scope, risk, backlog and change. It fits shared services centres, IT and software teams, automotive suppliers, banks and public bodies running EU-funded work.

For organisations in Slovakia facing a tight labour market, training the people you already have is often faster than hiring. A certified junior layer frees senior project managers to focus on the work that genuinely needs them.

    • Give junior staff a shared project vocabulary before they are handed real delivery risk
    • Standardise how teams plan, track and report across predictive and agile work
    • Reduce rework caused by unclear scope, weak charters and untracked change
    • Build a certified feeder pool for future project manager vacancies
    • Strengthen bids and audits with PMI-credentialed staff on the delivery team
    • Upskill coordinators and analysts without pulling them out of the business for weeks
    • Improve status reporting quality with earned value and dashboard basics
    • Retain young talent by giving them a visible, funded career path

Which Project Roles Open up in Slovakia?Demand, Designations and Earnings

CAPM opens the doors that experience-gated credentials keep shut. What Is Driving Demand for Project Talent in Slovakia

A Hard Deadline on EU Funded Work

Slovakia's Recovery and Resilience Plan must complete every milestone by August 2026, so public bodies and their suppliers urgently need people who can plan, track and report delivery properly.

CAPM builds planning and control fundamentals

    Digital Transformation Outpacing Skills

The national Action Plan for Digital Transformation runs to 2026, but digital and delivery skills across the workforce are still catching up, leaving project support roles hard to fill.

CAPM covers predictive, agile and hybrid delivery

    Automotive Retooling for Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicle output rose 28% while traditional vehicle production fell 3.2%. Carmakers and their supplier base are running retooling projects that demand tight scope, cost and risk control.

CAPM builds scope, schedule and risk discipline

    A Shrinking Labour Pool

Demographics are tightening the Slovak labour market and many young people work abroad. Employers now screen harder on credentials, which favours candidates who can prove project knowledge early.

CAPM proves competence without years of experience

Service Centres Moving up the Value Chain

Bratislava and Kosice centres are shifting from call handling into finance, IT, analytics and automation work that is delivered as projects rather than as repeatable transactions.

CAPM prepares you for project-based service work

Waterfall and Agile Running Side by Side

Most Slovak teams now mix plan-based and agile methods without a shared vocabulary, which causes confusion at handover. Certified practitioners can move between both approaches confidently.

    CAPM gives you both vocabularies

The Slovak market is short of people who can run delivery properly, and CAPM is the fastest credible way to prove you are one of them. No experience required. Start with the next batch.

The Project Skills You Will Walk Away WithBuilt on the Current Exam Content Outline

Skills covered in CAPM training follow PMI's four exam domains: project management fundamentals and core concepts, predictive plan-based methodologies, agile frameworks and methodologies, and business analysis frameworks. By the end you can read a charter, build a schedule, run a sprint ceremony and explain a variance report without bluffing.

    Project Fundamentals and Core Concepts

Tell a project apart from a programme or portfolio, walk a project through its life cycle, understand the roles of sponsor, manager and team, and explain what a project charter authorises. This is the largest exam domain at 36% and the foundation everything else sits on.

    Predictive Plan-Based Delivery

Work through the five process groups from initiating to closing. Build a work breakdown structure, apply the critical path method, estimate cost, plan quality and procurement, and manage risk and change the way plan-driven projects require.

Agile Frameworks and Scrum in Practice

Apply the Agile Manifesto values, run the Scrum events, and work with product backlogs, user stories, story points, velocity and burndown charts. You also cover Kanban, Lean and XP, plus when a hybrid approach beats either extreme.

    Business Analysis Frameworks

Elicit and document requirements, run a needs assessment, build traceability, model processes and evaluate solution options. At 27% of the exam this domain is heavily weighted and directly relevant to analyst roles across Slovak service centres.

    Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

Identify stakeholders, map them on a power and interest grid, choose the right engagement level, and pick communication methods that actually land. These skills decide whether your project has support or resistance.

    Performance Measurement and Reporting

Apply earned value basics including planned value, earned value, actual cost, schedule variance, cost variance, SPI and CPI. Build status reports and dashboards that tell leadership the truth quickly, and capture lessons learned properly.

    What Our Learners Say

    Untitled

    Career Change Made Possible

"I moved from a finance support role into project coordination and had no idea where to start. The trainer broke down the four exam domains clearly and the mock exams showed me exactly where I was weak. I passed first time and had an offer within two months."

    The Right Credential for Beginners

"As a recent graduate with no project experience, CAPM was the only PMI credential open to me. The agile and business analysis sessions were genuinely useful, not just exam padding. I now use the requirements techniques every week in my job."

    Practical from the First Session

"The earned value and reporting module changed how I write status updates. I stopped guessing and started showing schedule and cost variance properly. My manager noticed within a month and gave me a small project of my own."

    Consistency Across the Whole Team

"We put nine junior staff through the group programme. The difference in how they run handovers between plan-based and agile work is obvious, and our senior project managers spend far less time correcting basic planning mistakes."

    Flexible Corporate Delivery That Worked

"Invensis Learning ran the sessions onsite around our release schedule, which no other provider would do. The courseware mapped straight to the exam outline and the trainer answered our real project questions, not just textbook ones. We are booking a second cohort."

    General

Is the CAPM worth it in Slovakia?

Yes, if you want into project management without years of experience. CAPM qualifies you for coordinator, PMO analyst and junior project manager roles across Slovak service centres, IT, automotive and banking. Entry level project managers average around EUR 31,083 a year, with project managers averaging about EUR 43,364. Talk to a learning advisor about your route in.

    What is the CAPM certification?

CAPM is the entry-level project management credential from the Project Management Institute (PMI). It proves you understand the fundamental knowledge, terminology and processes of effective project management across predictive, agile and hybrid delivery approaches.

    Who should take CAPM training?

Students, recent graduates, career changers and project team members who support delivery but do not yet lead it. It also suits professionals building toward PMP eligibility who want a recognised PMI credential in the meantime.

How long is the CAPM certification valid?

Three years from the date of certification. Unlike PMP, CAPM is renewed by retaking and passing the exam within the three-year cycle rather than by earning PDUs.

Is CAPM recognised outside the Slovak Republic?

Yes. It is a PMI credential, and PMI's network spans more than 200 countries. Employers across Europe treat it as a credible signal that you understand project delivery and are committed to the profession.

How is CAPM different from PMP?

CAPM needs a secondary degree and 23 hours of project management education, with no work experience required. PMP requires 36 to 60 months of leading projects plus 35 contact hours. CAPM is the natural first step while you build the experience PMP demands.

    Pricing

What is included in the CAPM course fee?

The fee covers 24 hours of instructor-led training that fully meets PMI's 23-hour education prerequisite, PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, application guidance and learner support. Training fees in EUR are available on request. Request a quote and we will confirm the current price for your preferred format.

How much does CAPM training cost in Slovakia?

Pricing depends on the format you choose, live virtual, classroom or corporate group training, and is quoted in EUR. Fees are available on request. Contact a learning advisor for a quote covering your preferred batch.

Is the PMI exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the CAPM exam fee separately in USD under its regional pricing, and PMI members pay less than non-members. Confirm the current exam and membership fees on pmi.org before you apply.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer volume-based pricing for corporate groups, with customised schedules and onsite or live virtual delivery across Slovakia. Ask about corporate and group pricing for your team.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and instalment options are available on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to pick the option that suits you.

    Exam

What happens if I do not pass the exam first time?

PMI permits up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility window, and a reexamination fee applies to the second and third attempts. Our training includes mock exams and practice questions designed to surface weak domains long before exam day, so you sit it prepared.

What does the CAPM exam cover?

The exam covers four domains from the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

How many questions are on the CAPM exam?

150 multiple-choice questions, to be completed in three hours. The exam is closed book and includes both single-answer and multiple-answer question formats.

Where can I sit the CAPM exam in the Slovak Republic?

Online from home or the office through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring system, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. You schedule the exam through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website once your application is approved.

Is there a fixed passing score?

No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing standard rather than a published percentage. Your result comes with performance feedback across the four CAPM domains, so aim for solid coverage of all four rather than gambling on one.

What are the CAPM eligibility requirements?

A secondary degree, such as a high school diploma or global equivalent, plus at least 23 hours of project management education completed before the exam. No project work experience is required. This 24-hour programme satisfies the education requirement in full.

    Course Content

Can a complete beginner take this course?

Yes, and that is exactly who it is built for. CAPM assumes no prior project experience. The training starts from what a project is and builds to schedules, budgets, risk, backlogs and reporting, with trainer support throughout.

Which standard is the courseware based on?

The courseware follows PMI's CAPM Examination Content Outline effective January 2023 and draws on the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition together with the PMI Agile Practice Guide.

What will I learn in the CAPM syllabus?

Project fundamentals and the project life cycle, predictive delivery including work breakdown structures, critical path and earned value, agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean and XP, and business analysis techniques from requirements elicitation through to solution evaluation.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. You get practice questions and mock exams matched to the 150-question, three-hour closed-book format, plus topic-wise quizzes that show you which of the four domains needs more work.

How many training hours does the programme run for?

24 hours in total. It can run as 8 hours a day over 3 days, 6 hours a day over 4 days, or 4 hours a day over 6 days, so you can fit it around work or study.

    Enrollment

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

You can join the next available batch. Choose your format, complete enrolment on the Invensis Learning website, and you receive schedules, courseware and learning resources straight away. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to pick your start date.

What training formats are available in Slovakia?

Online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom sessions, focused one-to-one coaching, and customised corporate group training delivered onsite or virtually for teams in Bratislava, Kosice and elsewhere.

Are weekend and weekday batches available?

Yes. We run both weekday and weekend batches so students and working professionals can train without taking leave. Check the schedule page for the next available cohort.

Do you help with the PMI application?

Yes. We guide you through documenting your 23 hours of project management education for the PMI application. No experience documentation is needed for CAPM, which keeps the process short.

Can I reschedule my batch after enrolling?

Yes. You can move to another batch subject to availability, and refunds and cancellations follow our published policy. Contact our support team and we will sort it out.
