What will I learn in the Primavera P6 Fundamentals level?

You will learn to navigate P6, build the enterprise project structure (EPS, OBS, WBS), create activities and calendars, link them with relationships, run the scheduler, interpret the critical path and float, assign resources, set baselines and track progress with variance analysis.

What does the Advanced level cover?

Advanced covers advanced scheduling options, resource and cost loading with cost accounts and curves, Earned Value Management, baseline comparison and Claim Digger, multi-project and portfolio control, and custom reporting, layouts and P6 global configuration.

Does the training cover earned value management?

Yes, at Advanced level. You learn to cost-load the schedule and calculate and report earned value metrics including BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, SPI, CPI and Estimate at Completion, and to generate the earned value S-curve for project performance reporting.

Which version of Primavera P6 is used in the training?

The training uses current Oracle Primavera P6, covering both the P6 Professional desktop client and awareness of the P6 EPPM web edition. The scheduling concepts and workflows apply across recent P6 versions; confirm the exact environment for your session when you enrol.

Are there hands-on exercises in the P6 training?

Fundamentals runs for 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced for 3 days (24 hours). Both are available as full-day sessions or extended half-day formats to fit around work, so you can choose the schedule that suits you.

How is learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment or pass mark. Instead, hands-on P6 exercises throughout each level let you build and check your skills as you go, with trainer guidance to close any gaps before you apply P6 at work.

What will I be able to do after completing the training?

After Fundamentals you can build, schedule, resource and baseline a project and track progress in P6. After Advanced you can cost-load schedules, report earned value, compare baselines, manage multiple projects and produce custom reports for project controls.
