    Do I need a Jira licence, and does that add cost?

    Is there an exam for JIRA training?

    No. This is a non-certification skills course, so there is no examination at either level. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Jira exercises and configuration activities throughout the training.

    What do I receive on completing the training?

    You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning, along with practical Jira proficiency you can apply straight away. The training builds skills for agile delivery and IT project work rather than preparing you for an exam.

    How is my learning assessed during the course?

    Should I take Fundamentals or Advanced?

    Will these Jira skills stay relevant?

Advanced covers workflows, schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, automation, DevOps integrations and administration.

    What will I be able to do after Fundamentals?

    After Fundamentals you can create and configure Jira projects, manage issues, run sprints on the Scrum board, use the Kanban board with WIP limits, plan releases with versions, write JQL filters, and read agile reports such as the velocity chart, burndown and cumulative flow diagram.

    What will I be able to do after Advanced?

    After Advanced you can design custom workflows with conditions, validators and post-functions, apply permission, notification and screen schemes, create custom fields, write advanced JQL, build dashboards, create automation rules, connect Jira to DevOps tools, and administer a Jira instance.

    Is the training hands-on?

    Yes. Both levels are delivered with live instructor demonstration and hands-on Jira exercises throughout. You follow along in a Jira environment using realistic agile delivery scenarios, so you build proficiency through practice rather than theory alone.

    Which Jira products does the training cover?

    The course focuses primarily on Jira Software for agile delivery, and covers Jira Cloud and Data Center concepts. Advanced also gives an overview of Jira Service Management and how Jira integrates with Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and CI/CD tools.
