What Is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner Certification?UntitledYour Route to Structured Project Delivery

The PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner Certification Course is a combined project management programme that takes you from understanding the PRINCE2 method to applying and tailoring it on real projects, and this PRINCE2 certification training in South Korea prepares you for both official PeopleCert exams. PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured, globally recognised method owned by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert, built around seven principles, the People capability, seven practices and seven processes. The course is aligned to the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the PRINCE2 7 Foundation and Practitioner syllabuses. The 7th edition added People as a core element, renamed Themes to Practices, and integrated agile and sustainability. You begin at Foundation level, where a closed-book exam checks your knowledge of the method, then progress to Practitioner, an open-book exam that tests how you tailor PRINCE2 to project scenarios. Across South Korea, employers in IT services, electronics, finance and public digital programmes increasingly value structured delivery credentials. Whether you are new to project governance or formalising years of delivery experience, get certified with Invensis Learning and take a clear, supported route to both credentials.

Invensis Learning is a Peoplecert Accredited Training Organization (2778) in South Korea, approved to deliver official PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner Certification training using accredited courseware and standards.

    For Organizations

    For Organizations

PRINCE2 group training helps organisations in South Korea raise project delivery maturity by equipping teams with a consistent, structured method. It can be delivered for PMOs, IT and engineering units, or leadership groups. For organisations delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects, PRINCE2 provides the governance backbone that keeps scope, risk and value under control.

    • Reduces overruns on large system-integration and transformation projects
    • Standardises how projects are planned, controlled and reported

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined project management certification based on PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments), a structured method owned by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert. Foundation validates method knowledge, and Practitioner validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to real project scenarios.

Yes. PRINCE2 gives project professionals in South Korea a globally recognised governance credential that employers in IT services, electronics, finance and public programmes increasingly value. As certified structured-method skills are scarce locally, holding both credentials helps you stand out and qualify for senior delivery roles.

The course suits aspiring and practising project managers, team members in PRINCE2 environments, IT professionals moving into delivery roles, and PMP or CAPM holders who work with UK, EU or Commonwealth clients. It fits anyone who wants a structured, tailorable method they can apply at work.

The course covers the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), published by PeopleCert and AXELOS. PRINCE2 7 added the People capability as a core element, renamed Themes to Practices, and integrated agile, commercial management and sustainability across the method.

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points per cycle. Practitioner is renewed by retaking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner is a combined project management certification based on PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments), a structured method owned by AXELOS and examined by PeopleCert. Foundation validates method knowledge, and Practitioner validates your ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to real project scenarios.

Is PRINCE2 certification worth it in South Korea?

Yes. PRINCE2 gives project professionals in South Korea a globally recognised governance credential that employers in IT services, electronics, finance and public programmes increasingly value. As certified structured-method skills are scarce locally, holding both credentials helps you stand out and qualify for senior delivery roles.

Who should take this combined PRINCE2 course?

The course suits aspiring and practising project managers, team members in PRINCE2 environments, IT professionals moving into delivery roles, and PMP or CAPM holders who work with UK, EU or Commonwealth clients. It fits anyone who wants a structured, tailorable method they can apply at work.

Which PRINCE2 edition does this course cover?

The course covers the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), published by PeopleCert and AXELOS. PRINCE2 7 added the People capability as a core element, renamed Themes to Practices, and integrated agile, commercial management and sustainability across the method.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation is renewed by earning 60 CPD points per cycle. Practitioner is renewed by retaking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher-level PRINCE2 qualification.

    Pricing

What is included in the PRINCE2 course fee?

The training fee typically includes AXELOS-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams for both levels, downloadable templates, exam preparation and booking support, and learner support. Speak with a learning advisor for a detailed inclusions list and a quote.

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in South Korea?

Combined PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner training in South Korea is priced by format and batch, so exact fees are available on request. Request a quote to compare live online, classroom and corporate group options in your local currency.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam fees are set by PeopleCert and may be bundled or billed separately depending on the package you choose. PeopleCert pricing varies by region and channel, so confirm the current Foundation and Practitioner exam fees when you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, delivery teams and departments across South Korea. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Talk to a learning advisor to choose the option that fits you.

    Exam

How many exams are there and what are the formats?

There are two separate exams. Foundation is closed book with 60 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes. Practitioner is open book with 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks in 150 minutes, using scenario-based objective questions. Both must be passed to hold both credentials.

What are the passing scores for the two exams?

Both exams require 60% to pass. Foundation needs 36 out of 60 questions correct, and Practitioner needs 42 out of 70 marks. Preparing across all principles, practices and processes is the safest route to both.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

Open book means the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects (7th Edition) manual is permitted during the Practitioner exam. You can refer to it, but questions require analysis and judgement rather than simple look-up, so time management and familiarity with the manual matter.

What if I do not pass the first time?

You can resit the exam with PeopleCert, and our preparation support, mock exams and practice questions are designed to help you pass. Confirm the current resit policy and fees with PeopleCert when you book. Ask our advisors about revision support included in your plan.

Where and how do I take the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online through the OnVUE proctoring system available 24/7, or at an authorised PeopleCert test centre. Exams are typically arranged as part of your combined training package.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior experience is required for Foundation, which has no formal prerequisites. Practitioner requires you to hold PRINCE2 Foundation first, which this combined programme delivers, so beginners can complete both levels through one structured course.

What topics are covered in the training?

The training covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (Business Case, Organizing, Plans, Quality, Risk, Issues and Progress) and the seven processes, plus tailoring PRINCE2 to real project scenarios and exam preparation for both levels.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams for both Foundation and Practitioner, along with quizzes and revision aids to help you find weak areas and build exam readiness.

Is the courseware aligned to the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023) and the current PRINCE2 7 Foundation and Practitioner syllabuses published by PeopleCert and AXELOS.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 introduces the People capability as a core element covering leadership and stakeholder engagement, renames Themes to Practices, incorporates commercial management, updates the management products, and integrates agile and sustainability considerations across the method.

How soon can I start and how do I enrol?

What are the prerequisites to enrol?

There are no prerequisites to enrol in the combined training. Foundation is open to all, and because Practitioner requires Foundation first, the programme is structured so you complete both levels in sequence.
