    How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

    The PMI-RMP exam has 115 questions and lasts 2.5 hours (150 minutes). It is closed book with multiple-choice questions in single-answer and multiple-answer formats.

    What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

    Per the ECO effective January 2022, there are five domains: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%), and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

    What is the passing score for the PMI-RMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement per domain, so focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

    What if I do not pass the exam on the first attempt?

    PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams and prep support are designed to help you pass the first time.

    What will I learn in the PMI-RMP training?

    You will learn to plan, identify, analyse, respond to and monitor project risk across the five domains of the ECO effective January 2022, covering tools such as SWOT, the Delphi technique, the probability-impact matrix, Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees and reserve analysis.

    Does this training cover agile and hybrid risk management?

    Yes. The updated January 2022 Examination Content Outline incorporates predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, and the programme covers risk management across all three delivery environments.

    Do I need prior experience to benefit from the training?

    Anyone can attend the training. To sit the exam, PMI requires project risk management experience and education under Set A, B or C. The programme is structured so both experienced risk professionals and project managers new to specialist risk work can follow it.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 115-question, 2.5-hour PMI format, plus quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

    Does the training satisfy the PMI-RMP education requirement?

    The programme provides 32 contact hours, which fully satisfies the 30-hour education requirement for Set B (bachelor's degree) and Set C (GAC accredited degree) candidates. Set A candidates need 40 hours and should add at least 8 further hours.
