What is the format of the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks and lasts 150 minutes. It is open book, with the PRINCE2 manual permitted, and uses scenario-based questions. The passing score is 60 percent, which is 42 out of 70 marks.

How many exams are in the combined programme?

There are two separate PeopleCert exams: Foundation and Practitioner. You must sit and pass both to hold both credentials. The combined training prepares you for each, with Foundation content first and Practitioner content after.

Where can I take the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered by PeopleCert, either online through the OnVUE proctored system available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. Exams are usually arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the package.

What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?

You can re-sit the exam through PeopleCert; re-sit fees and policies are set by PeopleCert. Our training includes mock exams and preparation support to help you go in ready, and selected plans offer retake support. Ask an advisor for details.
