Is the PgMP recognised in South Korea?

Do I need a PMP before taking the PgMP?

No. PMP is not mandatory. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

What are the PgMP eligibility requirements?

There are three sets. With a secondary diploma: 48 months of project experience or PMP, plus 84 months of programme experience. With a bachelor's degree: 48 plus 48 months. With a GAC-accredited degree: 36 plus 36 months. All within the past 15 years.

Is the PgMP worth it for my career in South Korea?

The PgMP exam has 170 multiple-choice questions in a four-hour, closed-book format, based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and delivered via Pearson VUE.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

Five performance domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%).

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience. Both the panel review and the written exam must be passed to earn the credential.

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement by domain, so aim for broad mastery.

How many attempts do I get, and can I retake it?

Up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility period from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm current amounts at pmi.org.

The training is built for experienced programme and project professionals. You do not need to be certified to enrol, but PgMP eligibility requires substantial programme management experience over the past 15 years.

How many training hours does the course include?
