Do I need the PMP before taking the PgMP?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are distributed across five performance domains and delivered online proctored or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The PgMP exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours (240 minutes). It is closed book with single-answer and multiple-answer question formats.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

There are five domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%). Program Life Cycle Management carries the greatest weight, so plan your preparation accordingly.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is mandatory alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What if I do not pass the exam first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to build your readiness before you sit.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PgMP exam?

PMI offers three sets. With a secondary diploma: 48 months of project management experience (or an active PMP) plus 84 months of programme management experience. With a four-year degree: 48 months of PM experience (or PMP) plus 48 months of programme experience. All experience must fall within the past 15 years.

How do I enrol in the PgMP course?
