Construction Pressures Fuelling PMI-CP Demand in Croatia

    Contract and Claims Complexity

PMI-CP builds contract and claims expertise

    EU Funding Delivery Pressure

Croatia's recovery and cohesion funds demand projects delivered on time and to strict compliance rules. Certified construction PMs help firms govern scope, spend and reporting.

    After PMI-CP

Construction PM roles in Croatia average around €39,000, with senior and client-side bands far higher

Shortlisted less often for roles that prefer a construction credential

    After PMI-CP

Eligible for senior site, contract and client-side roles across infrastructure and building

    Today

Strong on site, but employers want proven contract and governance skill

    After PMI-CP

    You earn your PMI-CP

    Before

Delivery credibility rests on tenure, not a recognised credential

    Now you have

A PMI construction credential recognised by Croatian and international employers

    Before

Limited to general project management with no construction specialism

    Now you have

A specialist mark of construction delivery expertise, from contracts to closeout

    Before

Skills focused on the build, with less visibility of contract risk

    Now you have

The contract, risk and governance skills complex projects demand

    Before

Recognition fades when you change employer, sector or country

    Now you have

A globally portable credential valued on EU-funded and cross-border projects

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PMI-CP is PMI's specialist construction credential. It validates your ability to run construction projects across four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). It suits construction project managers, site managers, engineers and client-side project managers.

    General

What is the PMI-CP certification and who is it for?

The PMI-CP is PMI's specialist construction credential. It validates your ability to run construction projects across four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). It suits construction project managers, site managers, engineers and client-side project managers.

Is the PMI-CP worth it for construction professionals in Croatia?

Yes. With Croatia's construction sector growing on EU funding, infrastructure and reconstruction, employers value certified construction project managers who can master contracts, stakeholders and governance. It is a globally recognised, portable credential that supports senior roles and stronger pay. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your route.

Is the PMP required before taking the PMI-CP?

No. The PMP is not a prerequisite for the PMI-CP. You can pursue the PMI-CP based on your construction experience and education. The two are complementary: PMP validates general project management, while PMI-CP validates construction-specific expertise.

How is the PMI-CP different from the PMP?

PMP is a broad project management credential across all industries. PMI-CP is a construction specialist credential, with Contracts Management as its largest domain at 50%, reflecting the centrality of contracts and claims in construction delivery. Many construction professionals hold both.

How long is the PMI-CP certification valid?

The PMI-CP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area, within the three-year cycle. The 56 PDUs from the four prerequisite modules can count toward renewal.

    Is the PMI-CP recognised internationally?

Yes. As a PMI credential, the PMI-CP is recognised through PMI's network in more than 200 countries. It is especially valued on international and EU-funded construction projects where clients seek globally recognised project management credentials.

    Pricing

What is included in the PMI-CP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, guidance on the four prerequisite modules, application support, learner support and a completion certificate with contact hours. The PMI exam fee is billed separately. Request a quote for current pricing.

How much does PMI-CP training cost in Croatia?

Training fees vary by format and are available on request. Instructor-led and corporate options are priced separately from the PMI exam fee, which PMI bills in USD under regional pricing. Contact us for a tailored quote in euros.

How much is the PMI-CP exam fee?

For reference, the PMI-CP exam is around USD 520 for PMI members and USD 670 for non-members, billed by PMI and subject to change. PMI membership, about USD 139 per year, reduces the exam fee. Verify current fees at pmi.org before applying.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for construction teams, PMOs and consultancies. Ask about corporate and group pricing for your team.

    What payment methods are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

The PMI-CP exam is closed book with multiple-choice questions, both single and multiple answer, based on the PMI-CP Examination Content Outline. It is delivered online proctored through Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PMI-CP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 120 questions and an allotted time of 230 minutes, which is 3 hours 50 minutes. Questions are distributed across the four domains, with Contracts Management the largest at 50%.

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMI-CP?

You must complete all four mandatory self-paced modules, plus one of three experience sets: a high school diploma with 60 months of construction PM experience; a bachelor's degree with 36 months; or a GAC-accredited degree with 24 months. All sets require 35 contact hours of PM education, within the past 10 years.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all four domains.

What if I do not pass the PMI-CP exam first time?

You may sit up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility period from application approval. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts. Our mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to help you prepare thoroughly for a first-time pass.

Where can I take the PMI-CP exam in Croatia?

You can take the exam online from home or office via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE within your eligibility window.

The training covers all four ECO domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%), plus scheduling, budgeting, risk, quality and guidance on the prerequisite modules and application.

Does this training complete the 35 contact hours requirement?

The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours of project management education, close to but below the 35 contact hours PMI requires. Ask us how supplementary self-study or pre-reading can be credited toward the 35-hour requirement.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Before applying, you complete four self-paced modules in any order: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each awards 14 PDUs, for 56 PDUs in total.
