    What are the prerequisites for the PMP?

    There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours. This training provides those contact hours.

    How long is the PMP certification valid?

    The PMP is valid for three years. To keep it active you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) within each three-year cycle through PMI's Continuing Certification Requirements programme.

    What is the format of the PMP exam?

    The PMP is a closed-book exam based on the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the updated Examination Content Outline. It uses several question types, including multiple choice, multiple response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank, in realistic project scenarios.

    How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two 10-minute scheduled breaks. It is delivered online with Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What domains does the current PMP exam cover?

    The updated exam, aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, has five domains: Project Management Fundamentals (15%), Predictive Methodologies (28%), Agile Frameworks (27%), Business Analysis and Strategic Management (18%), and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (12%).

    What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

    PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is set through psychometric analysis, and you receive domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. Aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    What happens if I do not pass, can I retake the exam?

    Yes. PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. A re-examination fee applies to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams and prep support are designed to help you pass the first time.

    Will I earn the 35 contact hours required to apply?

    Yes. On completing the training you receive a certificate confirming the project management contact hours earned, which count toward the 35 contact hours PMI requires as part of PMP eligibility.
