What Is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certification?UntitledYour Route into Leading Change

The Change Management Foundation and Practitioner Certification (CM-F&P) is a two-level qualification that validates your ability to lead the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation confirms your understanding of change management concepts, models and theories, while Practitioner proves you can apply them to real organisational scenarios. This Change Management certification training in Croatia prepares you for both exams in one structured, instructor-led programme. The qualification draws on the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK), maintained by the Change Management Institute, and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide. You study five syllabus areas, from how individuals experience change through to stakeholder engagement, change practice and professional conduct. As Croatian employers deliver EU-funded digital transformation and restructuring under the national recovery plan, professionals who can guide people through change are increasingly valued. Start your journey with Invensis Learning and move from study to certified with confidence.

Change Drivers Fuelling Demand for Certified Professionals in Croatia

    EU-Funded Transformation at Scale

Croatia is deploying around EUR 6.3 billion in EU recovery grants by mid-2026, with over a fifth earmarked for digital projects. Delivering this change well demands people who can manage adoption, not just budgets.

Certification builds change planning and delivery skills

    Digitalising Public Administration

The justice system, digital identity card and a one-stop public services portal are all being rolled out. Each depends on staff adopting new ways of working, the exact gap change management is built to close.

Certification closes the people-side adoption gap

    Consolidation Across Banking and Finance

Croatian banks face mergers, regulatory change and core-system upgrades. Employers increasingly hire change managers to guide staff and customers through restructuring with minimal disruption.

Certification builds stakeholder and resistance skills

    Green and Energy Transition

Energy and utility leaders such as HEP and INA are reshaping operations for net-zero goals. These programmes require the culture and workforce change that certified practitioners are trained to lead.

Certification builds culture and workforce change skills

    Change Saturation and Resistance

Teams juggling several concurrent changes hit saturation, and resistance rises. Professionals who understand ADKAR, transition and stakeholder engagement keep initiatives on track.

Certification builds transition and engagement skills

    Scarcity of Certified Change Talent

Croatia has a deep pool of project managers but few formally qualified change managers. A recognised credential helps you stand out to employers competing for transformation skills.

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a two-level qualification covering the models, tools and practices needed to manage the people side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change management concepts, and Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real scenarios. It draws on the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute.

Who should take this certification in Croatia?

It suits project and programme managers, HR business partners, organisational development practitioners, consultants and leaders who guide people through change. In Croatia, it is especially valuable for those working on EU-funded digitalisation, banking restructuring and green transition programmes.

Is the Change Management certification recognised in Croatia?

Yes. It is a globally respected qualification recognised in more than 150 countries and valued by Croatian employers in banking, IT, energy, consulting and the public sector. It signals that you can lead the people and culture side of change to a professional standard.

Is the Change Management certification worth it?

Yes. Croatia has a deep pool of project managers but few certified change professionals, so the credential helps you stand out. With EUR 6.3 billion in EU recovery funding driving transformation, employers actively seek people who can make change stick. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

Do I need experience or a Foundation pass before Practitioner?

Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. Practitioner requires you to hold the Change Management Foundation certification first. The combined programme covers both levels in sequence, so you can progress from Foundation to Practitioner in one course.

    Pricing

How much does Change Management training cost in Croatia?

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions, lasts 40 minutes and is closed book. The pass mark is 50 per cent, meaning 25 correct answers out of 50. It is delivered by online proctoring or at an authorised test centre, usually at the end of Foundation training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total. You have 2.5 hours and the exam is open book. The pass mark is 50 per cent, meaning 40 marks out of 80. It is delivered by online proctoring or at an authorised test centre.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted during the exam. However, the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgement, so you cannot simply look answers up. Efficient guide navigation and solid method knowledge are both essential to pass.

Which change models does the exam cover?

The syllabus covers a broad range of models, including Bridges' Transition Model, ADKAR, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

What happens if I do not pass an exam first time?

You can resit the exam. Our training includes mock exams, practice questions and first-attempt guidance for both levels to help you prepare thoroughly. Speak with our team about resit options and any retake support available with your plan.

    Course Content

What are the five topic areas covered?

The syllabus covers five areas: Change and the Individual; Change and the Organisation; Communication and Stakeholder Engagement; Change Practice; and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation covers them at awareness level and Practitioner at application and analysis level.

What will I learn on this course?

You will learn to guide individuals through transition, apply organisational change models, engage stakeholders, build and deliver a change management plan, and manage yourself as a practitioner. The training maps directly to both exams so you build capability and readiness together.

Can a beginner take this certification?

Yes. Foundation has no formal prerequisites and no prior change management experience is required. The programme introduces the concepts step by step before applying them to scenarios, so newcomers and experienced practitioners can both follow it comfortably.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive courseware aligned to the Foundation and Practitioner syllabi and the CMBoK, industry-driven case studies, mock exams, practice questions and open-book exam technique for the Practitioner level, plus guidance on preparing for both exams.

Is the courseware aligned with the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi and the Change Management Practitioner Guide, and it draws on the CMBoK maintained by the Change Management Institute.
