The Payoff of Building Lean Skills on Your LineValue You Can Measure on the Floor

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

This Lean training helps production professionals turn theory into daily habit. You learn to see waste on the Gemba, map the flow of materials and information, and apply proven tools that shorten lead time, lower inventory and lift quality. Whether you supervise a line, engineer a process, or lead continuous improvement in automotive, food, metal or electronics manufacturing, the programme builds skills that show up in real output.

By the end of the day you can run a waste walk, sketch a current and future-state value stream, size a Kanban loop, work out OEE and plan a Kaizen event. These are capabilities Croatian plants are actively hiring and promoting for.

    • Spot and remove the eight wastes to free up capacity without new spend
    • Read and build a value stream map to see where lead time really goes
    • Run a 5S and visual management programme that keeps gains in place
    • Design pull systems with Kanban to cut overproduction and inventory
    • Calculate OEE and target the six big losses that slow your equipment
    • Lead shop-floor Kaizen and standard work with practical confidence
    • Make yourself more valuable to Croatia's automotive and food employers
    • Apply every tool immediately in your own production area
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

Group Lean training equips whole production teams with a common toolkit and a common vocabulary. Delivered on-site or live virtual for a shift, a line or a plant, sessions can apply waste identification and value stream mapping to your own processes during the day. For Croatian manufacturers under pressure from labour shortages and tight margins, this is a scalable way to lift productivity without adding headcount.

When operators, team leaders and engineers share one Lean approach, improvement stops being a one-off project and becomes how the plant runs. Teams standardise practice across lines and sites and hold the gains they make.

    • Builds a shared Lean language across operators, engineers and managers
    • Reduces lead time, inventory and defects on priority production lines
    • Improves OEE and on-time delivery through TPM and standard work
    • Cuts changeover time with SMED so smaller batches become viable
    • Embeds a Kaizen culture that keeps improvement going after training
    • Supports IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 continual improvement expectations
    • Delivers tailored, on-site sessions mapped to your own value streams
    • Strengthens in-house capability so gains do not rely on consultants

Why Croatian Plants Need Lean Talent Now

    Shrinking Workforce, Rising Output

Low birth rates, ageing and emigration are draining Croatia's industrial workforce. Plants must lift output with fewer people, exactly what waste elimination and flow improvement are built to deliver.

Lean skills free up capacity without new hires

    Automotive Supply Chain Pressure

Suppliers like AD Plastik and Yazaki feed European OEMs where Lean production, 5S, Kanban and SMED are customer requirements. Croatian plants need people fluent in these tools to hold the contracts.

Lean skills meet IATF 16949 production demands

    Food and Beverage Margin Squeeze

Food and beverage is Croatia's largest industrial sector at around 24 percent. Thin margins and high line speeds reward teams that can raise OEE, cut changeover time and remove process waste.

Lean skills raise OEE and cut process waste

    Productivity Gap Versus the EU

Croatian manufacturing output per worker still trails the EU average. Lean methods give managers a proven route to close that gap through flow, standard work and continuous improvement.

Lean skills close the efficiency gap

    Energy and Input-Cost Pressure

Volatile energy and material costs punish overproduction, excess inventory and rework. Waste elimination and pull systems protect margin by making plants produce only what demand truly requires.

Lean skills strip cost from the value stream

    Scarce Continuous Improvement Talent

Croatia has a deep pool of operators but far fewer people trained in Lean methods. That scarcity makes credible waste-walk, VSM and Kaizen skills a genuine differentiator in the job market.

Lean skills make you stand out to employers

Lean Tools You Will Put to WorkSkills Covered in the Programme

This Lean Manufacturing programme is built around real tools, not abstract theory. Each session pairs a concept with a hands-on exercise so you leave able to apply it on your own line. By the end you can run a waste walk, sketch a value stream, size a Kanban loop, work out OEE and plan a Kaizen event.

Spot and Eliminate the Eight Wastes

Learn to run a Gemba waste walk and classify every loss using the DOWNTIME model: defects, overproduction, waiting, non-utilised talent, transportation, inventory, motion and extra processing. You will quantify waste and prioritise what to remove first.

Map Value Streams from Order to Delivery

Build current and future-state Value Stream Maps using standard symbols, cycle and changeover times, inventory and information flow. Calculate takt time, find the bottleneck and design a leaner flow that shortens total lead time.

Organise the Floor with 5S and Visual Control

Apply Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise and Sustain to create a workplace where abnormalities are visible at a glance. Use Andon, production boards and floor markings to make the state of the line obvious to everyone.

Design Pull Systems with Kanban and JIT

Move from push to pull production. Learn how Kanban signals authorise work, how to size a supermarket and kanban loop, and how Just-in-Time links to built-in quality so defects surface immediately instead of hiding in inventory.

Lift Equipment Uptime with TPM and OEE

Understand the eight TPM pillars and autonomous maintenance, then calculate OEE as Availability times Performance times Quality. Identify the six big losses and target the ones holding your equipment back from world-class output.

    Standardise Work and Speed Changeovers

Write standard work using takt time, work sequence and standard WIP, and apply SMED to separate internal from external setup so changeovers shrink. Learn how Heijunka levels the schedule and how Kaizen keeps improvement going.

    General

Is Lean Manufacturing training worth it for professionals in Croatia?

Yes. Lean skills let you free up capacity and cut cost without new spend, which is exactly what Croatian plants need as the workforce shrinks. Waste elimination, VSM, 5S and Kaizen are valued across automotive, food, metal and electronics manufacturing, and open roles from team leader to continuous improvement and plant management.

    What is Lean Manufacturing?

Lean Manufacturing is a systematic method for removing waste from production so every step adds value for the customer. It comes from the Toyota Production System and covers the five Lean principles, the eight wastes, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, JIT, TPM and Kaizen continuous improvement.

Who should attend this Lean Manufacturing training?

It suits production and manufacturing managers, manufacturing and industrial engineers, supervisors and team leaders, quality engineers, maintenance and TPM coordinators, and continuous improvement staff. Anyone working in or running a production operation in Croatia will benefit, whatever their prior Lean experience.

Do I need prior experience to take the course?

No. There are no prerequisites. The programme introduces Lean principles and tools from first principles, so beginners and experienced staff can both take part. Prior shop-floor or production experience is helpful but not required.

How long is the Lean Manufacturing training?

The programme runs for one day, a total of 8 hours, and can also be delivered as two half-days. It covers Lean foundations, the eight wastes, VSM, 5S, pull and Kanban, JIT, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka and building a Lean culture, with hands-on exercises throughout.

    Pricing

How much does Lean Manufacturing training cost in Croatia?

Fees depend on the delivery format, whether individual or corporate, and group size, so pricing is available on request. Contact us for a quote and we will recommend the format that fits your goals and budget.

What is included in the training fee?

The fee typically includes instructor-led sessions, structured courseware, hands-on Lean tool exercises, templates and reference guides, learner support, and a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. Ask a learning advisor for the full inclusions on your chosen format.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for shifts, lines, plants and multi-site teams. Request a group quote and we will tailor a programme to your value streams.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

Is this a good investment for a whole production team?

Yes. Training a full team builds a shared Lean language, so improvement becomes how the plant runs rather than a one-off project. Group delivery also lowers the per-person cost. Ask about corporate pricing for your team.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for this Lean Manufacturing course?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no exam. Learning is reinforced through hands-on Lean tool exercises, waste identification activities and manufacturing case examples during the day, so you leave able to apply the tools at work.

Do I receive a certificate after the training?

Yes. You receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning after completing the programme. It recognises attendance and practical participation rather than a formal external qualification.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead you apply Lean tools through practical exercises such as a waste walk, value stream mapping, a 5S assessment, an OEE calculation and a Kanban sizing exercise, with trainer feedback throughout.

Will I be able to use these skills at work straight away?

Yes. The programme is built so each concept is paired with a practical exercise you can repeat on your own line. By the end you can run a waste walk, sketch a value stream, size a Kanban loop, work out OEE and plan a Kaizen event.

Does this course lead to a formal Lean certification?

No. It builds practical Lean capability rather than a formal credential. If you later want a certified pathway, it is a strong foundation for programmes such as Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt training.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the Lean Manufacturing syllabus?

The syllabus covers Lean foundations and the Toyota Production System, the five Lean principles, the eight wastes, Value Stream Mapping, 5S and visual management, pull systems and Kanban, JIT, TPM and OEE, standard work, SMED, Heijunka, Poka Yoke and building a Lean culture.

What is the DOWNTIME model of waste?

DOWNTIME is a memory aid for the eight wastes: Defects, Overproduction, Waiting, Non-utilised talent, Transportation, Inventory, Motion and Extra processing. The course teaches you to spot and quantify each one on the shop floor.

Are there hands-on exercises in the training?

Yes. Practical exercises run throughout the day, including a Gemba waste walk, value stream data collection, a 5S workplace assessment, an OEE calculation and Kanban quantity sizing, so tools are learned by doing.

    What materials do I receive?

You receive structured courseware, reference guides, Lean tool templates and exercise worksheets that support the sessions and help you apply the tools in your own production area after the training.

Is the course relevant to non-automotive plants?

Yes. While Lean began in automotive, the tools apply to food and beverage, metal, plastics, pharmaceutical and electronics manufacturing, and to any operations environment. Croatian firms across all these sectors use the same waste, flow and 5S methods.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the Lean Manufacturing course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website or by contacting a learning advisor. Choose your preferred format, complete enrolment, and you will receive schedules, courseware and joining details. See upcoming schedules to get started.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live virtual (online) instructor-led training, in-person classroom sessions, and customised corporate on-site training for teams across Croatia, so you can pick the format that fits your schedule and location.

    How soon can I start?

Public sessions run on a regular schedule, and corporate on-site dates are arranged around your team's availability. Check upcoming schedules or talk to an advisor to find the next suitable date.

Can you deliver the training on-site at our plant?

Yes. On-site delivery is popular because trainers can run the waste walk, VSM and 5S exercises on your own processes during the day. Contact us to arrange corporate on-site training for your team.

    Can I reschedule my enrolment?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule to another batch on selected plans. Contact support to arrange a change and we will help you find a convenient date.
