Why Ghana's Employers Need Certified Risk Leaders

    Capital-Intensive Projects Under Pressure

Ghana's mining and oil and gas megaprojects face rising input, energy and equipment costs that compress margins, making disciplined, certified project risk management essential to protect returns.

RMP builds structured project risk strategy

    Banking and Fintech Risk Overhaul

Fintech growth and tighter Bank of Ghana oversight are reshaping how banks manage operational and project risk, driving demand for professionals who can identify and mitigate threats formally.

RMP builds analysis and response skills

    Infrastructure Delivery at Scale

Railways, roads and airport programmes across Ghana require portfolio-grade risk identification, aggregation and monitoring that only structured, credentialed risk practice can reliably deliver.

RMP builds risk aggregation and monitoring

    Shortage of Certified Risk Specialists

Ghana's talent pool is deep in project managers but thin in credentialed risk specialists. The RMP's prerequisites and specialist focus make holders rare and highly employable.

RMP makes certified risk leaders stand out

    Cost and Currency Volatility

Exchange-rate swings and volatile input prices threaten project budgets, so employers value professionals who can model uncertainty with quantitative techniques such as expected monetary value.

    RMP builds quantitative risk techniques

    Contractual and Compliance Demands

Mining leases, energy contracts and lender conditions increasingly mandate formal risk registers and reporting, the exact governance discipline the RMP is designed to certify.

What are the exam domains and their weights?

There are five domains in the January 2022 exam content outline: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%), and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

Which version of the exam is the training based on?

The programme is built on the current PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline (ECO), effective January 2022, which reflects predictive, agile and hybrid risk management and aligns to PMI's Practice Standard for Project Risk Management.

Where can I take the exam and how many attempts do I get?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre. You have up to three attempts within a one-year eligibility period from application approval.

What is the passing score for the exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-RMP training?

You will learn to plan a risk strategy, identify threats and opportunities, perform qualitative and quantitative analysis, plan and implement risk responses, and monitor and close risks, covering all five domains of the exam content outline.

Can a beginner take this course, or do I need experience?

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the PMI exam you must meet PMI's prerequisites, which include project risk management experience and risk education, but the programme is structured to support learners building specialist risk skills.

What are the eligibility requirements for the exam?

PMI offers three routes: a secondary diploma with 36 months of risk experience and 40 hours of risk education; a bachelor's degree with 24 months and 30 hours; or a GAC-accredited degree with 12 months and 30 hours. Experience must be within the last five years.

Does this training meet the PMI education requirement?

The 32 contact hours fully satisfy the 30-hour risk education requirement for bachelor's degree and GAC-accredited applicants. Candidates on the secondary-diploma route need 40 hours and should add at least 8 more hours of risk education.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams built around the 115-question PMI format, plus topic-wise checks to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.
