    Is Jira worth learning for a career in Ghana?

    Which levels does the JIRA training cover?

    Do I need prior Jira experience to start?

    No prior Jira experience is needed for Fundamentals; basic familiarity with web applications is enough. For the Advanced level you should have completed Fundamentals or have equivalent hands-on Jira experience.

    Is there an exam for the JIRA training?

    No. This is a practical, non-certification skills course, so there is no examination at either level. Your learning is reinforced through hands-on Jira exercises throughout the programme.

    Do I get a certificate after the course?

    You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after completing the programme. It evidences the practical Jira skills you have built and the training hours completed.

    How is my learning assessed?

    There is no formal assessment. Instead, you practise continuously through live exercises and configuration activities in a Jira environment, building real proficiency as you follow along with the trainer.

    Is the JIRA training a certification course?

    No. It is a hands-on skills training course focused on using Jira effectively at work, not a certification. There is no exam and no external awarding body; you leave with practical, job-ready Jira skills and a completion record.

    What experience level does each stage suit?

    Fundamentals suits people new to or occasional with Jira who want confident day-to-day skills. Advanced suits experienced users who want to master workflows, schemes, automation, integrations and administration.

    Course Content

    What does the Fundamentals level cover?

    Fundamentals covers navigating Jira, creating Scrum, Kanban and business projects, managing issues across the Epic to Subtask hierarchy, running sprints and Kanban boards, roadmaps and versions, and using filters, basic JQL and Agile reports like velocity and burndown.

    What does the Advanced level cover?

    Advanced covers custom workflow design with conditions, validators and post-functions, permission, notification, screen and field configuration schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, Jira automation, DevOps and Atlassian integrations, and Jira administration.

    Is the training hands-on?

    Yes. Both levels are delivered as instructor-led training with live Jira exercises throughout. You follow along in a Jira environment, practising each feature and configuration on realistic Agile delivery scenarios.

    What is JQL and is it covered?

    JQL is Jira Query Language, used to search issues with precise, combinable criteria. Fundamentals introduces basic JQL and filters, and the Advanced level covers advanced techniques such as ORDER BY, time-based functions and the CHANGED and WAS operators.

    Do I need my own Jira environment?

    You should have access to a Jira environment for practice. Jira Cloud offers a free trial and a free tier for up to 10 users. We will confirm whether a shared training instance is provided or whether you should set up your own before the session.

    How do I enrol in the JIRA training in Ghana?

    You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website or by contacting a learning advisor. Choose your level and format, confirm your booking, and you will receive schedules, courseware and joining details. Talk to an advisor if you are unsure which level fits.

    What training formats are available?

    The training is available online (live virtual) instructor-led, in classroom sessions, and as customised corporate onsite delivery for teams. Choose the format that best fits your schedule and learning preference.

    How long is each level?

    Fundamentals runs for 2 days (16 hours) and Advanced for 3 days (24 hours). Both can also be delivered in extended half-day formats over more days. Ask about upcoming batches for your preferred schedule.

    Can I reschedule my batch?
