Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured, globally recognised project management method governed by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert. The combined course covers Foundation, which proves you understand the method, and Practitioner, which proves you can apply and tailor it to real projects.

    General

What is the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner certification?

PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured, globally recognised project management method governed by AXELOS and delivered by PeopleCert. The combined course covers Foundation, which proves you understand the method, and Practitioner, which proves you can apply and tailor it to real projects.

Who should take this PRINCE2 course?

It suits project coordinators, practising and aspiring project managers, and IT or business professionals who work in project environments. Foundation has no prerequisites, so beginners can start, while Practitioner is aimed at those who will manage and tailor projects.

Is PRINCE2 recognised in the Dominican Republic?

Yes. PRINCE2 is recognised worldwide across 200+ countries and is valued by Dominican employers in tourism, banking, IT, BPO, construction and free-zone manufacturing that run structured projects. Over one million PRINCE2 certificates have been issued globally.

Which edition of PRINCE2 does the course cover?

The course covers the current PRINCE2 7th Edition (2023), published by PeopleCert and AXELOS. Version 7 introduces the People capability as a core element, renames Themes to Practices, and integrates agile and sustainability across the method.

How long is the PRINCE2 certification valid?

Both PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner are valid for three years. Foundation renews by earning 60 CPD points, and Practitioner renews by re-taking the exam, completing CPD via a MyAxelos subscription, or passing a higher PRINCE2 qualification. Verify current options at peoplecert.org.

    Pricing

How much does PRINCE2 training cost in the Dominican Republic?

Training fees vary by format and schedule and are available on request in the local currency. The PeopleCert exam fees are billed separately and are not part of the training price. Request a quote or speak with a learning advisor for current pricing.

What is included in the course fee?

The training fee typically includes accredited courseware, instructor-led sessions, practice questions, mock exams, scenario exercises, downloadable materials, learner support and a course completion certificate. Exam vouchers may be bundled depending on the package you choose.

Are the exam fees included in the training price?

Exam vouchers are often offered as part of a combined training and dual-exam package, but this depends on the plan. PeopleCert prices exams by region and channel, so confirm whether both Foundation and Practitioner vouchers are included when you enrol.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for PMOs, project teams and business units across the Dominican Republic. Contact us for a tailored quote for your team.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the PRINCE2 Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 60 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It is closed book, and the passing score is 60%, which is 36 out of 60 correct. It tests knowledge and comprehension of the PRINCE2 method.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 56 questions and sub-questions worth 70 marks, over 150 minutes. It is open book with the PRINCE2 manual permitted, scenario based, and the passing score is 60%, which is 42 out of 70 marks. It tests applying and tailoring PRINCE2.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may refer to the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects (7th Edition) manual during the Practitioner exam. The questions require analysis and judgement rather than simple look-up, so time management and knowing the manual well remain essential.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

You can re-sit the exam, and our training includes practice questions, mock exams and revision support to prepare you thoroughly. Selected plans include retake support, and re-examination is arranged through PeopleCert. Ask a learning advisor about the retake options on your plan.

Where can I sit the PRINCE2 exams?

Both exams are delivered through PeopleCert, either online with the OnVUE proctoring system available 24/7, or at an authorised test centre. Exams are usually arranged as part of your combined training and dual-exam package.

    Course Content

What topics does the PRINCE2 training cover?

The training covers the seven PRINCE2 principles, the People capability, the seven practices (business case, organising, plans, quality, risk, issues and progress), and the seven processes from Starting Up to Closing a Project, plus tailoring and exam preparation for both levels.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No prior experience is needed for Foundation, which is open to all. Practitioner requires PRINCE2 Foundation or an accepted equivalent such as PMP, CAPM or IPMA, and this combined course covers both levels in sequence.

What is new in PRINCE2 7 compared with PRINCE2 6?

PRINCE2 7 (2023) introduces the People capability covering leadership, stakeholder engagement and team management, renames Themes to Practices, adds commercial management, and integrates agile and sustainability across the method. The training is fully aligned to the 7th edition.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive accredited courseware aligned to the PRINCE2 7 syllabus, practice questions, full-length mock exams, scenario exercises, quizzes and reference materials that support both Foundation and Practitioner preparation.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PRINCE2 syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PRINCE2 7 Foundation and Practitioner syllabus and the PRINCE2 Managing Successful Projects manual, 7th Edition (2023), published by PeopleCert and AXELOS.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in the PRINCE2 course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing a batch.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training and classroom training, as well as customised corporate group training. Choose the format that fits your schedule and learning preference across the Dominican Republic.

Do I need to complete Foundation before Practitioner?

Yes. PRINCE2 is taken sequentially, Foundation first and then Practitioner. This combined programme covers both levels together, typically with Foundation content first, so you progress smoothly from one exam to the next.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch, and selected plans let you attend the training twice. Contact support to arrange a change that suits you.

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Refunds and cancellations are handled per our published policy, and selected plans include a money-back guarantee. Reach out to our team for the details that apply to your enrolment.
