    Is the CAPM worth it in the Dominican Republic?

    Yes. As tourism, banking, IT and construction expand project teams across the Dominican Republic, a recognised entry-level credential helps you stand out for roles such as project coordinator and project analyst. It is also a credible first step towards the PMP as your experience grows.

    Do I need work experience to take the CAPM?

    No. The CAPM is the only PMI credential that requires no project management work experience. You need a secondary school diploma or global equivalent and 23 hours of project management education, which this training provides.

    Is the CAPM recognised in the Dominican Republic?

    Yes. The CAPM is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers in the Dominican Republic and in more than 200 countries. It signals to Dominican employers in banking, tourism, IT and construction that you understand modern project delivery.

    How long is the CAPM valid and how do I renew it?

    The CAPM is valid for three years. Unlike the PMP, it is renewed by retaking and passing the CAPM exam within the three-year cycle, not by earning PDUs. There is no separate PDU requirement for the CAPM.

    The CAPM exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023 and the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. It is delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the CAPM exam and how long is it?

    The CAPM exam has 150 questions and you have three hours (180 minutes) to complete it. The questions use single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

    What does the CAPM exam cover?

    The exam covers four domains from the 2023 CAPM Examination Content Outline: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (36%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (17%), Agile Frameworks and Methodologies (20%), and Business Analysis Frameworks (27%).

    Is there a fixed passing score for the CAPM?

    No. PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score rather than a fixed percentage. Results are reported as pass or fail with performance feedback across the four CAPM domains, so aim for broad mastery of every domain.

    What if I do not pass the CAPM on the first attempt?

    You can take the CAPM exam up to three times within your one-year eligibility period. Our mock exams, practice questions and exam-day guidance are designed to build your readiness so you sit the exam with confidence.

    The course is aligned to the CAPM Examination Content Outline effective 2023 and the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition, together with the Agile Practice Guide, covering predictive, agile and hybrid ways of working.

    Are mock exams and practice questions included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 150-question, three-hour CAPM format, so you can identify weak areas and build exam readiness before test day.

    Will I receive a certificate of completion and contact hours?

    Yes. After meeting the course requirements you receive a course completion certificate and 24 contact hours, which exceed the 23 hours of project management education PMI requires to sit the CAPM exam.
