    General

What is the PMP certification and who is it for?

The PMP is PMI's globally recognised credential for professionals who lead and direct projects and teams using predictive, agile and hybrid approaches. It is ideal for project managers, team leads and delivery professionals in the Dominican Republic ready to advance into senior roles.

Is the PMP certification worth it in the Dominican Republic?

Yes. PMP is valued by tourism, construction, banking, telecom and free-zone employers that run large, strategy-critical projects. Certified managers command stronger salary bands, from Project Manager through to Programme and PMO roles, as demand outpaces the supply of certified talent.

Why choose Invensis Learning for PMP training in the Dominican Republic?

Invensis Learning is a PMI Authorized Training Partner offering PMI-aligned courseware, experienced trainers, flexible delivery formats, and dedicated exam and application support, helping you move from learning to certified with a clear, supported path.

    Is the PMP recognised internationally?

Yes. PMP is recognised in over 200 countries and is widely regarded as the global gold standard of project management certification. It is referenced in employer job specifications, client contracts and procurement requirements worldwide.

How long is the PMP certification valid?

PMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

Which standard is the PMP based on?

The PMP is aligned to the PMBOK Guide Eighth Edition and the current PMP Examination Content Outline. It covers predictive, agile and hybrid delivery, with roughly half the exam reflecting agile or hybrid approaches.

    Pricing

How much does PMP training cost in the Dominican Republic?

PMP training fees are quoted in Dominican pesos and are available on request, as pricing varies by format and cohort. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD under regional pricing. Request a quote to see current options for your preferred format.

What is included in the PMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, 1000+ practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, downloadable templates, exam and application guidance, learner support, and a course completion certificate with the contact hours you need to apply.

Is the PMP exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. PMI membership reduces the exam fee and provides free access to the PMBOK Guide, so many candidates join before applying. Confirm current fees on pmi.org.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP exam is a closed-book test aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition. It uses multiple question types, including multiple-choice, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank, delivered online via Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 180 questions and lasts 230 minutes (3 hours 50 minutes), including two scheduled 10-minute breaks. The questions are scenario-based and test application, not just recall.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery.

What happens if I do not pass on the first attempt?

You have up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period from application approval. Our training, mock exams and simulator are designed to prepare you thoroughly so you can sit with confidence. Re-examination fees apply to later attempts.

Where can I take the PMP exam in the Dominican Republic?

You can sit the exam online through Pearson VUE's OnVUE proctored system from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or the Pearson VUE website once your application is approved.

    Course Content

Do I need prior experience to take the PMP training?

Anyone can join the training, which delivers the 35 contact hours of project management education PMI requires. To sit the exam you also need project experience: a four-year degree with 36 months leading projects, or a secondary diploma with 60 months.

What topics does the PMP training cover?

The training covers predictive, agile and hybrid delivery aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition, spanning people leadership, process and delivery methods, business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and risk and governance, plus exam strategy.

Does the PMP exam cover agile?

Yes. Roughly half the exam reflects agile or hybrid approaches alongside predictive methods. The training covers Scrum, Kanban, hybrid delivery and agile planning so you are ready for the full breadth of the current exam.

What learning materials and practice resources are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PMP Examination Content Outline, downloadable templates, chapter-wise quizzes and flashcards, plus 1000+ practice questions, full-length mock exams and an exam simulator to build readiness.

Does the training meet the 35 contact hours requirement?

Yes. The programme provides the project management education contact hours PMI requires as part of PMP eligibility, so completing the training satisfies that prerequisite before you apply.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements to earn the PMP?

There are two paths. Path A: a four-year degree, 36 months leading projects, and 35 contact hours of PM education. Path B: a secondary diploma or global equivalent, 60 months leading projects, and 35 contact hours. The training covers the education requirement.

How do I enrol in the PMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. Talk to a learning advisor if you need help choosing.

    What training formats are available?

We offer online (live virtual) instructor-led training, classroom training, self-paced e-learning, and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style.

How soon can I start my PMP training?

New batches run regularly in live virtual and classroom formats, and self-paced learning lets you start straight away. See upcoming schedules or speak with a learning advisor to pick the next cohort that works for you.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment to another batch?
