    Is Jira worth learning in the Dominican Republic?

    Do I need prior experience to attend?

    Yes. On completing each level you receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning, confirming the Jira skills you have built at Fundamentals or Advanced level.

    Will I need a Jira environment during the sessions?

    Yes, you practise in a live Jira environment throughout. Jira Cloud has a free tier for hands-on practice. Check with us whether a shared training instance is provided or whether you should set up your own Jira Cloud trial before attending.

    Does this course lead to a formal credential?

    No. This is a practical, non-credential skills course focused on real Jira capability rather than a qualification. You build hands-on proficiency and receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning that reflects the level you completed.

    Fundamentals covers projects, issues, Scrum and Kanban boards, sprints, roadmaps, Versions, filters, basic JQL and agile reports. Advanced covers workflows, schemes, custom fields, advanced JQL, dashboards, automation, DevOps integrations and Jira administration.

    Will I learn JQL and reporting?

    Yes. You learn to build saved filters and write JQL to search work precisely, and to read the core agile reports: the Velocity Chart, Burndown Chart, Sprint Report and Cumulative Flow Diagram. Advanced adds dashboards and management reporting.

    Does the Advanced level cover automation and administration?

    Yes. Advanced covers workflow design, permission, notification and screen schemes, custom fields, Jira automation rules, integrations with Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub and CI/CD, and Jira administration including users, groups and global settings.

    Is the content hands-on or theory based?

    It is hands-on throughout. Every module is delivered with live Jira exercises using realistic agile software delivery scenarios, so you configure and practise rather than only watch demonstrations.

    Which version of Jira is used?

    Training is delivered on current Jira, primarily Jira Cloud, with Jira Data Center differences highlighted where relevant. Because Atlassian updates Jira regularly, the sessions focus on features and workflows that carry across versions.
