    Administer Contracts, Variations and Claims

Manage contract correspondence, payments, subcontracts and variation orders, and handle delay, disruption and differing-site-condition claims through negotiation, mediation, adjudication and arbitration to contract closeout.

    Engage Owners, Communities and Regulators

Identify and analyse project stakeholders, plan and run communications, and manage owner, community and regulatory-authority relationships to keep approvals and inspections on programme. Stakeholder Engagement carries 30% of the exam.

Define Strategy, Scope and Change Control

    Govern Projects and Assure Compliance

The Right Step up from Site Management

"I moved from site management into project management, and the stakeholder and governance domains filled the gaps I had. The trainers explained the PMI application and the four prerequisite modules clearly, which made the whole path far less daunting."

    Practical and Exam-Ready

"Very practical and well paced. The scope, schedule and risk content mapped directly to my infrastructure projects, and the mock questions were close to the real exam format. The application guidance saved me a lot of time as a first-time PMI applicant."

Standardised Contract Practice Across Our Teams

"We enrolled a group of project leads to standardise how we handle contracts and claims across sites. The corporate delivery was flexible around our schedules, and we have already seen tighter change control on two active schemes."

    Relevant to Real Construction Delivery

"Training our regional delivery managers on PMI-CP gave us a common language for governance and stakeholder engagement. The trainers understood construction, not just generic project management, which made the sessions genuinely relevant for our contractors."

What is the format of the PMI-CP exam?

The PMI-CP exam has 120 questions and a 230-minute (3 hours 50 minutes) time limit. What are the PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

There are four domains: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Contracts Management is the largest, reflecting how central contracts, claims and disputes are to construction delivery.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

Yes. Before applying, all candidates must complete four self-paced modules in any order: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each is a 6 to 10 hour commitment and awards 14 PDUs, 56 PDUs in total.

Does this training meet the 35 contact hours requirement?

The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours, which is close to but below the 35 contact hours of project management education required across all three eligibility sets. Check with our team whether supplementary self-study or pre-reading is credited toward the 35-hour requirement.

Are practice questions and mock exams included?
