What are the four PMI-CP exam domains and their weights?

The PMI-CP exam covers four domains per the official ECO: Contracts Management (50%), Stakeholder Engagement (30%), Strategy and Scope Management (15%) and Project Governance (5%). Contracts Management is the largest, reflecting the central role of contracts in construction delivery.

What is the passing score for the PMI-CP exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so focus on broad mastery across all four domains.

How many attempts do I get and where can I take the exam?

You get up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility window from application approval. You can take the exam online via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre, scheduling through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE.

What is the PMI-CP exam application process?

You complete all four self-paced prerequisite modules, meet one of the three experience and education sets, then apply online at pmi.org. PMI reviews applications and may audit a sample. Once approved, you pay the exam fee and schedule through Pearson VUE within one year.

What will I learn in the PMI-CP training?

You will learn to manage construction contracts, claims and variations, engage stakeholders and owners, control strategy and scope, and govern delivery. The training maps to the four ECO domains and covers scheduling, cost, risk and quality across the construction lifecycle.

What are the four mandatory prerequisite modules for the PMI-CP?

Before applying, you must complete four self-paced PMI-CP modules in any order: Project Communications, Interface Management, Scope and Change Order Management, and Contract and Risk Management. Each is a 6 to 10 hour commitment and awards 14 PDUs, 56 PDUs in total.

Does this training meet the 35 contact hours education requirement?

The instructor-led programme provides 32 contact hours of construction project management education, close to but below the 35 hours required across all eligibility sets. We can advise whether supplementary self-study or pre-reading counts toward the 35-hour requirement.

Is the courseware aligned to the current PMI-CP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PMI-CP Examination Content Outline and the current edition of the PMBOK Guide, covering Contracts Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Strategy and Scope Management, and Project Governance.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams modelled on the 120-question, closed-book format, plus topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Anyone can enrol in the training. To sit the exam, you complete the four prerequisite modules and meet one of three sets: a secondary diploma with 60 months construction PM experience, a bachelor's degree with 36 months, or a GAC-accredited degree with 24 months, each with 35 contact hours of PM education.
