Change Challenges Driving Demand in Munich

    Transformation Fatigue in Large Enterprises

Munich's automotive and insurance giants run near-constant transformation, and employees face change saturation. Certified change managers keep adoption on track and protect wellbeing.

The certification builds change saturation and resilience skills

    Digitalisation Outpacing Adoption

    Scarcity of Certified Change Talent

Germany has a deep pool of project managers but far fewer credentialed change managers. The Foundation and Practitioner pathway makes qualified holders rare and sought-after.

CM-F and CM-P holders stand out to employers

    Agile and Restructuring Programmes

Enterprise-wide agile transitions and restructurings need strong stakeholder engagement and resistance management, exactly the capability the change management syllabus develops.

    Culture Change in Manufacturing

Smart-factory and net-zero transitions in Munich's manufacturing base demand culture change that certified practitioners are trained to plan, lead and embed over time.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

It is a globally recognised two-level qualification for managing the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change management concepts and models, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios. Both are grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

    General

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a globally recognised two-level qualification for managing the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation validates your knowledge of change management concepts and models, while Practitioner validates your ability to apply them to real change scenarios. Both are grounded in the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK).

Is Change Management certification worth it in Munich?

Yes. Munich's automotive, insurance, technology and consulting employers run constant transformation and value professionals who can drive adoption. Change Manager roles in Munich average around €83,000, and certified change talent is scarce relative to the deep project talent pool.

Who should take this Change Management course?

It suits project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants and leaders who lead or support organisational change. Foundation has no prerequisites and is open to all, so professionals at any career stage can start.

Which change management models does the syllabus cover?

The syllabus covers a broad range of models including ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, the McKinsey 7-S Framework, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence.

How long are the Change Management certifications valid?

Validity and any renewal requirements are confirmed at enrolment, as they can vary. On this programme the priority is helping you pass both the Foundation and Practitioner exams and apply the skills at work. Ask a learning advisor for the current details.

    Pricing

How much does Change Management training cost in Munich?

The combined Foundation and Practitioner training and dual exam package is typically bought as one bundle, and pricing varies by format and schedule. Fees are available on request. Request a quote or speak with a learning advisor for current Munich pricing.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes CMBoK-aligned courseware, industry case studies, Foundation and Practitioner mock exams and practice questions, and learner support. Exam voucher inclusion is confirmed at enrolment. Ask about group and corporate pricing for teams.

Are the two exam fees part of the training price?

Exam voucher inclusion is confirmed when you enrol, as the combined programme leads to two separate exams. Request a quote and a learning advisor will confirm exactly what is included for your chosen format.

Do you offer group or corporate discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for change teams, PMOs, HR functions and leadership groups in Munich. Contact us for a tailored group quote.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions with a single answer each, taken closed book in 40 minutes. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is usually taken at the end of the Foundation part of the programme.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total, taken open book over 2.5 hours. The Change Management Practitioner Guide is permitted. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

How many exams are there and in what order?

There are two separate exams. You sit and pass the closed-book Foundation exam first, then the open-book, scenario-based Practitioner exam. You must pass both to hold both credentials. Foundation is the prerequisite for Practitioner.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam, but the sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential, and our training builds both.

What if I do not pass an exam the first time?

Retake support is part of how we prepare you, and re-sit policies are confirmed at enrolment. Our mock exams, practice questions and trainer guidance are designed to help you pass both the Foundation and Practitioner exams with confidence. Ask an advisor about retake options.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the Change Management training?

The programme covers five topic areas: Change and the Individual, Change and the Organization, Communication and Stakeholder Engagement, Change Practice, and Personal and Professional Management. Foundation builds knowledge; Practitioner develops applied skill on real scenarios.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is open to all, so beginners are welcome. The training builds from concepts and models up to applied practice, and Foundation is the prerequisite for the Practitioner level, which you take within the same programme.

    What learning materials are provided?

You receive CMBoK-aligned courseware, industry case studies, practice questions and mock exams for both levels, and reference to the Change Management Practitioner Guide used in the open-book Practitioner exam. Materials support both study and applied learning.

Is the courseware aligned to the current standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) from the Change Management Institute and the current edition of the Change Management Practitioner Guide, along with the current Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi.

How is the training delivered and how long is it?

The combined programme is delivered as 40 hours of instructor-led training, typically over five days, covering Foundation first and then Practitioner. It is available online (live virtual), in classroom and as corporate group training.

How do I enrol in the Change Management course in Munich?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.

    What training formats are available?
