    CM-F&P builds organisational-change capability

    Digital Transformation Adoption Gap

    General

Is the Change Management certification worth it for professionals in Essen?

Yes. Change Management Foundation and Practitioner validates your ability to lead the people side of change, which Essen employers in energy, chemicals, construction and retail increasingly demand. Change and transformation roles in Germany average around EUR 77,000 to EUR 104,000, and certified change talent remains scarce.

What is the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner certification?

It is a globally recognised, two-level qualification covering the models, tools and practices for managing the people and culture side of organisational change. Foundation validates knowledge and comprehension; Practitioner validates your ability to apply change approaches to real scenarios. It is grounded in the CMBoK and the current Change Management Practitioner Guide.

    Who should take this certification?

It suits project and programme managers, HR business partners, OD practitioners, consultants, and leaders who sponsor or deliver change. There are no formal prerequisites for Foundation, so it is open to professionals at any career stage.

Which change management models does the syllabus cover?

The syllabus covers ADKAR, Bridges' Transition Model, Lewin's Three-Step Model, Kotter's 8-Step Model, McKinsey 7-S, Schein's culture model, Goleman's emotional intelligence and Cialdini's principles of influence, across five topic areas.

    Is the certification recognised internationally?

Yes. The Change Management qualification is recognised in over 150 countries and is particularly well respected across the UK, Europe and Germany, where organisational change management is an established professional discipline.

    Pricing

How much does Change Management training cost in Essen?

Fees vary by delivery format and whether exam vouchers are bundled, so pricing is available on request in EUR. The combined programme is usually purchased as a training and dual-exam package. Request a quote or speak with a learning advisor for current pricing.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically includes syllabus-aligned courseware, case studies, mock exams and practice questions for both levels, and learner support. Foundation and Practitioner exam vouchers are commonly included; confirm current inclusions when you enquire.

Are the exam fees part of the training price?

Combined packages often bundle both exam vouchers with the training, but this varies by plan. Ask your advisor to confirm whether the Foundation and Practitioner exam costs are included in your quote before you enrol.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for teams in Essen and across the Ruhr. Contact us for a tailored group quote for your organisation.

    What payment options are available?

We accept major cards and bank transfers, and offer instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Exam

What is the format of the Foundation exam?

The Foundation exam has 50 multiple-choice questions in a single-answer format, lasts 40 minutes, and is closed book. The pass mark is 50%, which is 25 out of 50 correct. It is usually taken at the end of the Foundation training.

What is the format of the Practitioner exam?

The Practitioner exam has 5 scenario-based sections, each worth 16 marks, for 80 marks in total. It lasts 2.5 hours and is open book, with the Change Management Practitioner Guide permitted. The pass mark is 50%, which is 40 out of 80 marks.

    How are the exams delivered?

Both exams are delivered via online proctoring or at an authorised test centre, typically at the end of each stage of training. You sit two separate exams and must pass both to hold both credentials.

What does open book mean for the Practitioner exam?

You may use the Change Management Practitioner Guide during the exam, but the scenario-based sections require analysis and judgment, so you cannot simply look up answers. Efficient guide navigation and deep method knowledge are both essential.

What happens if I do not pass an exam first time?

You can re-sit the exam you did not pass; re-sit policies and any fees vary, so confirm the current terms when you enrol. Our preparation, mock exams and trainer guidance are designed to support a first-time pass on both levels.

    Course Content

What will I learn in this course?

You will learn to guide individuals through change with ADKAR and Bridges' model, lead organisational change with Lewin, Kotter and McKinsey 7-S, engage stakeholders, plan and embed change, and manage yourself as a practitioner, across five topic areas at both Foundation and Practitioner level.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. Foundation has no formal prerequisites and is beginner friendly. To sit the Practitioner exam you must hold Change Management Foundation, or an accepted equivalent; the combined programme takes you through both levels in sequence.

    How long is the training?

Invensis Learning delivers the combined programme as 40 hours of instructor-led training. The number of days depends on the schedule format you choose, such as full-day intensive or extended part-day sessions.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current Change Management Foundation and Practitioner exam syllabi, the CMBoK maintained by the Change Management Institute, and the current edition of the Change Management Practitioner Guide.
