The Real Value You Gain from RCASkills You Apply from Day One

    For Individuals

    For Individuals

RCA training helps you become the person your team turns to when something goes wrong. You gain a disciplined way to define a problem, gather evidence and drill to the root cause, so fixes actually stick. Whether you work in quality, production, maintenance, health and safety or IT service management, these tools apply directly to the problems you face every week.

By the end of the day you can facilitate a 5 Whys session, run a Fishbone workshop, complete an 8D report and verify that a corrective action has genuinely eliminated the cause. It is capability you can use on Monday morning.

    • Investigate defects and incidents with a structured, repeatable method
    • Trace symptoms to true root causes instead of firefighting the same problems
    • Apply the 5 Whys, Fishbone, FTA, FMEA and 8D with confidence
    • Write clear problem statements and run Is/Is Not analysis
    • Build corrective actions that hold up and prevent recurrence
    • Support ISO 9001:2015 corrective-action compliance at work
    • Add a practical, cross-industry skill valued across Armenian employers
    For Organizations

    For Organizations

RCA group training helps organisations move from reactive firefighting to permanent prevention. Teams learn one consistent method for investigating problems, so lessons are captured and recurrence drops. The training is especially effective when delivered on-site, as your people apply the tools to your own defects, incidents and process failures during the exercises.

For manufacturers, pharmaceutical producers, miners and food processors in Armenia, a shared RCA approach turns scattered problem-fixing into disciplined, auditable corrective action that regulators and customers trust.

    • Cuts repeat defects, rework and customer complaints across teams
    • Standardises problem-solving with a shared RCA language
    • Strengthens CAPA and ISO 9001 corrective-action processes
    • Improves incident investigation in safety-critical operations
    • Builds an evidence-based, blame-free problem-solving culture
    • Delivers immediate value when teams work on real problems in class
    • Scales across sites through flexible live virtual or on-site delivery

What Is Driving Demand for RCA Skills in Armenia

GMP and CAPA Pressure in Pharma

Armenia's growing pharmaceutical manufacturers must show regulators rigorous root cause investigation behind every corrective and preventive action, the exact discipline RCA training delivers.

RCA builds the investigation backbone of CAPA

    Recurring Defects in Manufacturing

As producers scale toward the national output targets, repeat defects and rework erode margins. Structured RCA finds the underlying cause so problems are fixed once, not repeatedly.

RCA replaces firefighting with permanent fixes

Process Safety in Mining and Metals

Copper, molybdenum and gold operations run safety-critical processes where incidents and equipment failures demand formal investigation using tools such as Fault Tree Analysis.

    RCA builds incident investigation capability

Export Quality Standards in Food and Beverage

Brandy, dairy, canned goods and other exporters must meet strict food-safety schemes. RCA equips teams to investigate non-conformances and HACCP failures and prevent them recurring.

The Skills You Will Build in This CourseFrom Problem to Permanent Fix

This section answers what you will learn in Root Cause Analysis training: a practical, hands-on command of the RCA tools quality and operations teams use every day. Each capability is drawn from the course curriculum and applied to realistic problem scenarios so you can use it immediately at work.

    Define Problems Precisely

Learn to write clear, factual problem statements, separate observation from assumption, run Is/Is Not analysis, and use timelines and evidence to scope an investigation. A well-defined problem is a problem half solved.

Drill to Root Cause with the 5 Whys

Apply the iterative 5 Whys technique to simple, single-cause problems, learn to recognise a true root cause, avoid stopping at blame, and verify the cause chain from symptom back to systemic failure.

Map Causes with the Fishbone Diagram

Facilitate a Fishbone (Ishikawa) workshop across the 6M categories to organise every potential cause of a complex, multi-cause problem, then drill each branch to validated root causes with evidence.

    Analyse Complex and Safety-Critical Failures

Use Fault Tree Analysis with AND and OR logic gates for safety-critical events, and apply FMEA in an RCA context to prioritise corrective actions by severity, occurrence and detection.

    Run a Full 8D Investigation

Work through all eight disciplines of the 8D method, from team formation and interim containment to root cause, permanent corrective action, recurrence prevention and closure, the standard in manufacturing and automotive.

    Build and Verify Corrective Actions

Develop effective corrective actions, tell verification from validation, and meet ISO 9001:2015 Clause 10.2 and CAPA expectations so fixes are proven to eliminate the cause and prevent recurrence.

Yes. On completing the one-day programme you receive a course completion certificate from Invensis Learning. This is a record of attendance and learning, not a formal certification from an external awarding body.

    Is this a certification course?

No. RCA training is a practical skills course. There is no governing body, no exam and no credential to renew. The focus is on building tools and workplace capability you can use immediately.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

Learning is assessed informally through hands-on activities: an Is/Is Not problem-definition exercise, a 5 Whys investigation, a Fishbone workshop, an 8D report and a corrective-action plan, all applied to realistic scenarios.

How long does the training take to complete?

The course runs for one day (8 hours). It can also be delivered as two half-day sessions of 4 hours each, covering all six RCA modules with exercises throughout.

    Course Content

What RCA tools does the course cover?

The course covers the 5 Whys, the Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagram, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), FMEA in an RCA context, and the 8D problem-solving method, plus Is/Is Not analysis, timeline mapping and corrective-action verification. It also teaches when to select each tool.

What will I be able to do after the training?

You will be able to write a precise problem statement, apply the 5 Whys, facilitate a Fishbone workshop, use FTA for safety-critical events, complete an 8D report, and develop and verify corrective actions that prevent recurrence.

    Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. Practical exercises and case-study investigations run throughout the day, so you apply each tool to realistic problems rather than only studying theory. In corporate sessions, teams can work on their own live problems.

What is the difference between the 5 Whys and the Fishbone diagram?

The 5 Whys is best for simple, single-cause problems, drilling down through iterative why questions. The Fishbone diagram suits complex, multi-cause problems, organising potential causes across categories before drilling each branch. The course teaches when to use each.

Does the course cover 8D and CAPA?

Yes. It covers all eight disciplines of the 8D method, widely used in manufacturing and automotive, and how RCA provides the investigation backbone of a compliant CAPA process in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals.
