    Is the Black Belt certification worth it in Armenia?

    What is the format of the Black Belt exam?

    The IASSC Black Belt exam is a closed-book test of 150 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark. A reference document with required formulas and tables is provided. Some forms include up to 15 additional unscored questions.

    How long is the exam and what is the passing score?

    You have four hours, 240 minutes, to complete the exam, with extra time for non-native speakers or candidates with a disability. The passing score is 580 out of 750 points, so aim for broad mastery across all five DMAIC phases.

    How is the exam delivered?

    You can sit the exam through online proctoring on a 24/7 web-based system, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. Candidates in Armenia commonly choose online proctored delivery for flexibility.

    What is the exam application process?

    After preparing, you optionally take the non-proctored evaluation exam to check readiness, then purchase your exam voucher and choose online proctored or test-centre delivery. You schedule and sit the 150-question exam, and on passing you receive a certificate, digital badge and a listing in the official register.

    How many domains does the exam cover?

    The exam covers the five DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. The weightings are Define 13.5 percent, Measure 21.5 percent, Analyze 26.5 percent, Improve 16.5 percent and Control 22 percent.

    Course Content

    What topics does the Black Belt training cover?

    The training covers the full DMAIC cycle: defining and scoping projects, Measurement System Analysis, hypothesis testing and regression, Design of Experiments, and Statistical Process Control, plus Lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, Kanban and Poka-Yoke.

    What makes Black Belt different from Green Belt?

    Black Belt goes well beyond Green Belt in statistical depth. It adds advanced hypothesis testing, multiple regression and Design of Experiments, and prepares you to lead complex projects independently and mentor Green Belts, rather than support larger projects.

    Are practice tests and mock exams included?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams aligned to the 150-question, four-hour closed-book format, plus topic-wise checks to help you find and fix weak areas before the exam.

    Is there a hands-on project component?

    Yes. You apply DMAIC tools to a real or simulated improvement project, which builds the practical experience the credential expects and helps you connect the statistical methods to genuine workplace problems.

    Is the courseware aligned with the current syllabus?

    Yes. The courseware is aligned to the IASSC Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge and its DMAIC structure, so you study the topics and weightings the current exam tests.
