    Exam

What is the format of the PMP exam?

The PMP exam has 180 questions completed in 230 minutes, including two 10-minute breaks. It is closed book and uses multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and limited fill-in-the-blank questions, delivered online via Pearson VUE OnVUE or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

What are the PMP exam domains?

The updated PMP exam aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition covers five domains: Project Management Fundamentals and Core Concepts (15%), Predictive Plan-Based Methodologies (28%), Agile Frameworks (27%), Business Analysis and Strategic Management (18%), and Stakeholder Engagement and Communication (12%).

What are the eligibility requirements for the PMP exam?

There are two paths. With a four-year degree you need 36 months leading projects plus 35 contact hours of project management education. With a secondary diploma you need 60 months leading projects plus the same 35 contact hours, which this training helps provide.

What is the passing score for the PMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported as pass or fail, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement. Focus on broad mastery across all five domains.

What if I do not pass the exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. A reexamination fee applies to the second and third attempts. Our mock exams and prep support are designed to build your readiness so you can pass with confidence.
