    Exam

    How many exams are there and what is the format?

    There are two separate EXIN exams. The Foundation exam has 40 single-answer multiple-choice questions; the Practitioner exam has 40 scenario-based multiple-choice questions. Both are closed book, 60 minutes, and you must pass each to hold both credentials.

    What is the passing score for the exams?

    The pass mark is 65 per cent for both exams, which is 26 correct answers out of 40 on each. The Foundation exam tests knowledge and comprehension, while the Practitioner exam tests application and analysis.

    Are there any prerequisites for the exams?

    The Foundation level has no formal prerequisites and is open to all. The EXIN BCS Foundation Certificate is the recommended prerequisite for the Practitioner level, which is why the combined programme covers Foundation first.

    Where and how can I take the EXIN BA exams?

    Both exams can be taken online through EXIN's proctored exam system or at an accredited testing location. They are typically arranged through your accredited training provider as part of the combined programme.

    What if I do not pass an exam on the first attempt?
