Market Forces Driving Demand for Certified Risk Leaders

    Energy Transition Complexity

Grid modernisation, offshore wind and industrial decarbonisation projects carry high technical and schedule uncertainty, so employers need professionals who can quantify and control risk.

PMI-RMP builds analysis and monitoring skills

    DORA and Financial ICT Risk

DORA and ICT risk demand in Stockholm has outpaced supply, and banks and insurers now seek project risk specialists to run compliance-driven change programmes.

PMI-RMP builds identification and governance skills

    Data Centre Build-Out Pressure

Hyperscale data centre programmes across Sweden pull commissioning, engineering and delivery talent, adding cross-supplier risk that portfolio-grade risk practice is built to manage.

Run structured risk identification using brainstorming, the Delphi technique, SWOT and assumption analysis, and record clear, unambiguous risks in the risk register.

    Analyse Risk Qualitatively and Quantitatively

Prioritise risks with probability and impact assessment, then apply Monte Carlo simulation, decision trees, sensitivity analysis and expected monetary value where they add insight.

    Plan and Implement Risk Responses

The PMI-RMP is valid for three years. You maintain it by earning 30 PDUs in risk management topics within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle, reported through PMI's CCR system.

    Exam

What is the format of the PMI-RMP exam?

The exam is closed-book with 115 multiple-choice questions (single and multiple answer), delivered via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring or a test centre. It is based on the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022.

How many questions are on the PMI-RMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 115 questions and a time allowance of 2.5 hours (150 minutes). Questions are scenario-based and test how you apply risk tools and techniques, not just recall.

What are the PMI-RMP exam domains and their weights?

Five domains per the January 2022 ECO: Risk Strategy and Planning (20%), Risk Identification (20%), Risk Analysis (23%), Risk Response (22%) and Monitor and Close Risks (15%).

What is the passing score for the exam?

PMI uses a psychometrically determined passing score that is not published as a fixed number. Results are reported as pass or fail with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

How many attempts do I get, and what if I do not pass?

You get up to three attempts within the one-year eligibility period from application approval. If you do not pass, a reexamination fee applies to the second and third attempts, and our prep support helps you target weaker domains before you retake.

    Course Content

What will I learn in the PMI-RMP training?

You learn the full project risk lifecycle across the five ECO domains: risk strategy and planning, risk identification, risk analysis, risk response, and monitoring and closing risks, applied to predictive, agile and hybrid projects.

Does the training satisfy the PMI-RMP education requirement?

The programme provides 32 contact hours of risk management education, which fully meets the 30-hour requirement for Set B and Set C candidates. Set A candidates (high school diploma) need 40 hours and should add at least 8 further hours of training.

Is the courseware aligned to the current PMI-RMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the PMI-RMP Examination Content Outline effective January 2022 and the PMI Practice Standard for Project Risk Management, so you study against the current exam scope.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams mapped to the 115-question, closed-book format, plus quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Can I take PMI-RMP if I am new to formal risk management?

The training is beginner-friendly in its explanations, but the PMI-RMP exam requires documented project risk management experience. If you are early in your risk career, the course builds the knowledge base while you accrue the required experience.

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches or talk to a learning advisor to get started.
