Is the PfMP recognised in Sweden?

Yes. PfMP is a globally recognised PMI credential valued by employers across Sweden and worldwide, including technology, industrial, consulting, banking and public-sector organisations that run large project portfolios.

Do I need PMP or PgMP before taking PfMP?

No. Neither PMP nor PgMP is a mandatory prerequisite for PfMP. Eligibility is based on general business experience and portfolio management experience, though many senior portfolio managers hold one or both credentials.

How long is the PfMP valid and how do I renew it?

PfMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle within each three-year continuing certification requirements (CCR) cycle.

What is included in the PfMP training fee and how do I pay?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, exam simulator access, templates, application and panel-review support, learner support and a course completion certificate with contact hours. How much does the PfMP exam cost?

PMI bills the PfMP exam fee in USD under regional pricing, for reference around USD 800 for members and USD 1,000 for non-members. PMI individual membership (around USD 139 a year) reduces the exam cost. Confirm current fees on the PMI store before applying.

Do you offer corporate or group pricing in Sweden?

What is the format of the PfMP exam?

The PfMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PfMP Examination Content Outline and the Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition. It uses scenario and situational questions across five performance domains.

How many questions are on the PfMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 multiple-choice questions and you have four hours (240 minutes) to complete it. It is delivered via Pearson VUE, either online proctored or at a test centre.

What is the passing score for the PfMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed percentage pass mark. The result is determined through psychometric analysis, with domain-level feedback of Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What is the PfMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to PfMP. A panel of portfolio management practitioners evaluates your documented portfolio experience and competency. It is a mandatory step alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

What happens if I do not pass the exam the first time?

PMI allows up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Reexamination fees apply to the second and third attempts, and our preparation resources and trainer support help you close gaps before you resit. Confirm current fees on the PMI store.

Where can I take the PfMP exam in Sweden?

You can sit the exam via Pearson VUE OnVUE online proctoring from home or office, or at a Pearson VUE test centre available in Swedish cities and worldwide, within your one-year eligibility period.

What topics are covered in the PfMP training?

The training covers the five PfMP performance domains: Strategic Alignment (25%), Governance (20%), Portfolio Performance (25%), Portfolio Risk Management (14%) and Communications Management (16%), plus application, panel-review and exam strategy.

Can I take PfMP training as a beginner, or do I need experience?

Anyone can attend the training, but PfMP is a senior credential. To sit the exam PMI requires substantial business and portfolio management experience. The training suits experienced portfolio managers, PMO heads and delivery leaders preparing to certify.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PfMP standard?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to PMI's Standard for Portfolio Management, Fourth Edition, and the current PfMP Examination Content Outline.

What learning resources and materials are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PfMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, a Standard for Portfolio Management overview, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes to support your revision.

Are practice tests and mock exams included?

Yes. The programme includes a large bank of practice questions, full-length mock exams, an exam simulator and topic-wise quizzes to help you identify weak areas and build exam readiness.

Can I reschedule or transfer my enrolment to another batch?
