Is the Green Belt certification worth it in Sweden?

Yes. Swedish employers in manufacturing, automotive and life sciences value certified Green Belts to drive efficiency, and improvement and quality manager roles average around kr 660,000 to kr 783,000 a year. The credential is a strong step towards senior roles and Black Belt.

Who should take Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training?

It suits quality engineers, operations and manufacturing professionals, process analysts and anyone who supports or leads improvement projects. No formal experience is required, so it also fits Yellow Belts and those new to structured process improvement.

Do I need prerequisites to get certified?

No. The Green Belt certification has no mandatory education, experience or training prerequisites. Training and real-world practice are recommended but not required to sit the exam.

How long is the certification valid?

The Green Belt certification holds Current status for three years from the date you certify. To stay Current, you pass the recertification exam before the elapse date or within 90 days after.

Which body awards the Green Belt credential?

The credential is awarded by the International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC), now part of PeopleCert, against its Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge.

What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

The Green Belt exam is closed book with multiple-choice and true or false questions covering all five DMAIC phases. It is delivered online with proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

The exam has 100 questions, with up to 10 additional unscored questions on some forms, and you have three hours to complete it.

What score do I need to pass?

You need a minimum of 385 out of 550 points to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control phases.

Where can I sit the exam?

You can take it online on demand with web-based proctoring, available around the clock, or at one of thousands of Pearson VUE test centres worldwide, including in Sweden.

What is the exam application process?

You purchase a Green Belt exam voucher, then schedule your session online or at a test centre. An optional non-proctored evaluation exam is available to check your readiness before you book the full exam.

Can I retake the exam if I do not pass?

Yes. You can purchase another exam voucher and reschedule. We recommend using the practice questions and the evaluation exam to build readiness before your next attempt.

What topics does the Green Belt training cover?

Training covers all five DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control, plus Lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, Kanban and poka-yoke, and core statistics including hypothesis testing and process capability.

Will a beginner be able to follow the course?

Yes. The programme starts with Lean Six Sigma fundamentals and builds statistical concepts step by step, so professionals new to structured improvement can follow it with the hands-on practice provided.

How many training hours does the course include?

The programme provides 32 hours of training, delivered in flexible formats such as full days or extended part-day schedules to suit working professionals.

Are practice questions and materials provided?

Yes. You receive structured courseware, DMAIC exercises, case studies and practice questions modelled on the exam to help you identify weak areas and build confidence.

Is the courseware aligned to the current syllabus?

Yes. The courseware follows the current IASSC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge, structured around the five DMAIC phases.
