Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

Quality Function Deployment is a structured, customer-driven method for translating the Voice of the Customer into specific engineering and design characteristics. Its main tool is the House of Quality, a planning matrix that links what customers want to how a product will deliver it.

Quality Function Deployment is a structured, customer-driven method for translating the Voice of the Customer into specific engineering and design characteristics. Its main tool is the House of Quality, a planning matrix that links what customers want to how a product will deliver it.

The training suits product designers, design and quality engineers, product managers, R&D professionals and Six Sigma practitioners. It is ideal for anyone in Sweden's automotive, telecom, medtech or manufacturing sectors who translates customer needs into product or service specifications.

No. There are no formal prerequisites. Familiarity with product development or quality management helps, but the programme introduces QFD and the House of Quality from first principles, so beginners and experienced professionals both benefit.

Yes. QFD is a practical, cross-industry skill that helps you design products customers want, reduce costly rework and shorten time to market. In Sweden, where technical talent is scarce, structured customer-driven design capability makes you more valuable to employers. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

No. While QFD began in manufacturing, it applies to services, healthcare, financial services and software too. Any context where customer requirements must become design or delivery specifications can use the House of Quality.

    General

What is Quality Function Deployment (QFD)?

Quality Function Deployment is a structured, customer-driven method for translating the Voice of the Customer into specific engineering and design characteristics. Its main tool is the House of Quality, a planning matrix that links what customers want to how a product will deliver it.

Who should attend QFD training in Sweden?

The training suits product designers, design and quality engineers, product managers, R&D professionals and Six Sigma practitioners. It is ideal for anyone in Sweden's automotive, telecom, medtech or manufacturing sectors who translates customer needs into product or service specifications.

Do I need prior experience to take this course?

No. There are no formal prerequisites. Familiarity with product development or quality management helps, but the programme introduces QFD and the House of Quality from first principles, so beginners and experienced professionals both benefit.

Is QFD training worth it for my career?

Yes. QFD is a practical, cross-industry skill that helps you design products customers want, reduce costly rework and shorten time to market. In Sweden, where technical talent is scarce, structured customer-driven design capability makes you more valuable to employers. Talk to a learning advisor to plan your path.

    Is QFD only for manufacturing?

No. While QFD began in manufacturing, it applies to services, healthcare, financial services and software too. Any context where customer requirements must become design or delivery specifications can use the House of Quality.

    Pricing

How much does QFD training cost in Sweden?

Fees vary by delivery format (live online, classroom or onsite corporate) and group size, so pricing is available on request. Contact us for a tailored quote for individual or team training in Sweden.

What is included in the course fee?

The fee typically covers instructor-led training, structured courseware, hands-on House of Quality exercises, downloadable QFD templates, learner support, and a course completion record from Invensis Learning.

Do you offer group or corporate pricing?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for product development and quality teams. Ask about corporate and group pricing for your organisation.

Are there savings for booking as a team?

Team and volume bookings are priced individually and often work out more cost-effective per learner than individual seats. Request a group quote and we will tailor it to your team size.

How do I pay for the training?

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with invoicing available for corporate bookings. Speak with a learning advisor to arrange the option that suits you.

    Assessment

Is there a test at the end of this QFD course?

No. This is a practical skills programme with no test or formal assessment. Learning is reinforced through hands-on House of Quality construction, worked examples and team discussion during the one-day session.

What do I receive after completing the training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning. More importantly, you leave able to build and interpret a House of Quality and apply QFD immediately in your own product or service projects.

How is learning reinforced without a test?

Through practice. You build a real House of Quality from a product or service scenario, run a Kano classification and calculate design priorities, so you apply every concept during the day rather than memorising it.

Will I be able to use QFD at work straight away?

Yes. The programme is designed for immediate application. By the end you can facilitate Voice of the Customer sessions, construct the House of Quality, and cascade requirements through the four QFD phases in your own organisation.

    Is any formal credential awarded?

No external credential is awarded, as QFD has no governing body or test. You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning that recognises your participation and the practical skills you have built.

    Course Content

What topics does the QFD training cover?

The course covers QFD principles and origins, capturing and structuring the Voice of the Customer, the Kano model, building all six rooms of the House of Quality, interpreting the matrix, cascading QFD through four phases, and applying QFD in Design for Six Sigma and service design.

What is the House of Quality?

The House of Quality is the central QFD planning matrix. It links customer requirements to measurable engineering characteristics, rates the strength of each relationship, flags design conflicts in its correlation roof, benchmarks competitors and sets engineering targets.

How long is the QFD training?

The programme runs for one full day (eight hours), delivered as a single intensive day or two half-days. It covers all six QFD modules with hands-on House of Quality exercises throughout.

    Are the sessions hands-on?

Yes. You build and interpret a real House of Quality during the training, work through a Kano classification and calculate column importance, so the day is practical and workshop-based rather than lecture-only.

Does the course cover Six Sigma and service design?

Yes. The training shows how QFD fits the Design for Six Sigma (DMADV) Measure phase and the DMAIC Define phase, and how the House of Quality adapts to service, healthcare and software contexts.

    Enrollment

How do I enrol in QFD training in Sweden?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete your booking, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources. See upcoming batches to get started.

    What delivery formats are available?

The training is available as live online (virtual instructor-led) sessions, in-person classroom training, and onsite corporate delivery for teams. Choose the format that fits your schedule and location in Sweden.

Can the course be delivered onsite for our team?

Yes. We deliver QFD as an onsite or live virtual corporate programme so a whole cross-functional team can train together, often using one of your own real products as the working example. Ask about corporate training.

    How soon can I start?

New live online and classroom sessions run regularly, and corporate sessions are scheduled around your team's availability. Contact a learning advisor to see upcoming dates and reserve your place.

    Can I reschedule my booking?
