Process Challenges Fuelling BPM Demand in Sweden

    Industry 4.0 Process Complexity

Swedish manufacturers in Vastra Gotaland and Skane are adopting AI, automation and connected production, work that demands clear, standardised process models before technology can deliver value.

BPM builds process modelling and analysis skills

    Digital Transformation Backlog

Sweden's IT services market is set to reach $26.4bn by 2030, yet you cannot automate a broken or undocumented process. BPM gives organisations the mapped, analysed processes automation needs.

BPM builds the process foundation for automation

    Public Sector Modernisation

Government and municipal digitalisation across Sweden requires citizen-facing and back-office processes to be redesigned for speed and transparency, a core BPM capability.

    BPM builds process redesign skills

    Fragmented Process Ownership

Work that crosses departments loses time to handoffs and rework. Organisations increasingly need process owners who can govern end-to-end flows, not just manage functions.

BPM builds governance and ownership skills

    Efficiency and Cost Pressure

Margin and capital discipline across Nordic industry push firms to optimise operations, remove low-value steps and rebalance work, exactly what trained process professionals deliver.

    BPM builds process optimisation skills

    Process Talent Shortage

Employers report a shortage of professionals fluent in BPMN 2.0 modelling and structured process analysis, making this skill set a genuine differentiator in the Swedish market.

BPM makes skilled process professionals stand out

Yes. Process skills are in demand across Swedish manufacturing, IT, banking and the public sector, where employers hire process analysts, improvement managers and operational excellence leads. The training builds capability you can apply immediately, which strengthens your profile for these roles.

The course suits business analysts, process owners, operations and service delivery managers, IT professionals, quality managers and change practitioners. Anyone responsible for designing, managing or improving a business process in any sector will benefit.

Do I need prior experience to take BPM training?

No. There are no formal prerequisites and the course introduces process management from first principles. Some familiarity with business operations is helpful but not required, so beginners and experienced practitioners can both attend.

The training is grounded in BPMN 2.0 (ISO/IEC 19510), the international process modelling standard maintained by the Object Management Group, and the ABPMP BPM Common Body of Knowledge. It also connects BPM to ISO 9001, Lean and Six Sigma.

    Pricing

What is included in the BPM training fee?

The fee covers instructor-led delivery of all six BPM modules, hands-on BPMN 2.0 modelling and process analysis workshops, learning materials, and a course completion record from Invensis Learning. Request a quote for the inclusions that apply to your chosen format.

How much does BPM training cost in Sweden?

Pricing varies by delivery mode, group size and schedule, so exact figures are available on request. Live online, classroom and corporate onsite options are priced differently. Talk to a learning advisor for a tailored quote.

Do you offer corporate or group discounts?

Yes. We offer corporate group training with customised schedules and volume-based pricing for operations, quality, IT and transformation teams. Contact us for a group quote for your organisation.

We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfers, with instalment options on selected plans. Speak with a learning advisor to choose the option that suits you.

    Assessment

Is there an exam for BPM training?

No. This is a non-certification skills course with no examination. Learning is reinforced through hands-on BPMN 2.0 modelling exercises, process analysis workshops and group discussion during the one-day programme.

Do I get a certificate after BPM training?

You receive a course completion record from Invensis Learning after finishing the programme. It is not a formal certification, as BPM has no single awarding body; the value lies in the practical skills you can apply straight away.

How is my learning assessed during the course?

There is no formal assessment. Instead, you apply the concepts through process modelling exercises, analysis and redesign workshops and team activities, so you leave able to use BPM techniques rather than having passed a test.

Is BPM a certification or a governing-body qualification?

BPM is a management discipline, not a certification. There is no governing body for the discipline itself, though BPMN 2.0 is maintained by the Object Management Group and the BPM CBOK is published by the ABPMP. This course builds practical skills, not a credential.

Will the skills expire or need renewal?

No. Because there is no certification, there is nothing to renew and no maintenance requirement. The BPM and BPMN 2.0 skills you learn remain immediately applicable in your work.

    Course Content

What will I learn in BPM training?

You will learn to map processes with BPMN 2.0, run the full BPM lifecycle, analyse processes to find waste, redesign workflows, set process KPIs, and understand how automation and continuous improvement sustain the gains. Every skill is practised in workshops.

    What is the BPM lifecycle?

The BPM lifecycle has six phases: identify, model, analyse, design, implement and monitor or optimise. The course teaches you to manage processes as an ongoing cycle, connecting each phase from process discovery through to continuous improvement.

Does the course cover BPMN 2.0 modelling?

Yes. You practise Business Process Model and Notation 2.0 hands-on, using events, activities, gateways, sequence flows, pools and swimlanes to build clear, stakeholder-readable process models from real descriptions.

How long is the BPM training and in what format?

The course runs for one day, around eight hours in total. It is available as live online (virtual instructor-led), classroom and corporate onsite training, all covering the same six BPM modules with exercises throughout.

    Are there hands-on exercises?

Yes. The day includes BPMN 2.0 modelling from verbal descriptions, process analysis and waste identification, and process redesign applying real design principles, so you leave having practised the techniques on realistic scenarios.
