    What is the format of the Green Belt exam?

    The IASSC Green Belt exam is closed book and uses multiple-choice and true or false questions across the five DMAIC phases. It can be taken online with proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    How many questions are on the exam and how long is it?

    The exam has 100 questions and a three-hour allotted time. Some exam forms include up to 10 additional non-graded questions that do not count toward your score.

    What score do I need to pass?

    You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550 to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control phases, so aim for balanced mastery across the method.

    Where can I take the exam?

    You can sit the exam through the on-demand web-based proctoring system, available around the clock, or at one of thousands of Pearson VUE test centres worldwide, including options in Sweden.

    What happens if I do not pass the first time?

    You can retake the exam by purchasing another voucher. Our training includes mock exams and practice questions to build readiness, and selected plans offer a retake option, so you can sit the exam again with confidence.

    What topics does the Green Belt training cover?

    The training covers all five DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. You learn process mapping, measurement system analysis, hypothesis testing, regression, designed experiments, statistical process control and Lean tools such as 5S and Poka-Yoke.

    What learning resources are provided?

    You receive structured courseware aligned to the Green Belt body of knowledge, practice questions, mock exams, project-based exercises, templates and topic-wise quizzes to reinforce each phase of the method.

    Are there practice tests and mock exams?

    Yes. The programme includes practice questions and full-length mock exams that mirror the closed-book format, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness before sitting the real exam.

    How many hours is the training?

    The Green Belt training totals 32 hours, delivered in flexible formats such as intensive full days or extended part-day schedules. Your trainer guides you through each DMAIC phase with practical, hands-on activities.

    Do I need statistics knowledge to follow the course?

    No prior statistics background is required. The course builds the statistical concepts step by step, from basic descriptive statistics to hypothesis testing and regression, with worked examples so beginners can follow comfortably.
