    The ICGB exam is closed book with 100 questions, made up of multiple-choice and true or false items, and you have 3 hours to complete it. Some forms include up to 10 additional unscored questions. It is delivered online proctored or at a Pearson VUE test centre.

    What is the passing score for the Green Belt exam?

    You need a minimum of 385 points out of 550 to pass. Questions are spread roughly evenly across the five DMAIC phases, so aim for solid command of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control rather than any single area.

    Are there prerequisites to sit the exam?

    No. There are no mandatory prerequisites for the Green Belt exam. Training and real-world project experience are recommended but not required, which makes the credential accessible to motivated professionals.

    How do I schedule and take the exam?

    After purchasing your exam voucher, you choose your delivery mode: online proctored on demand, available 24/7, or at a Pearson VUE test centre. You then schedule and sit the 3-hour, closed-book ICGB exam at a time that suits you.

    What if I do not pass the first time?

    If you do not pass, you can prepare further and retake the exam by purchasing another voucher. Our training includes practice questions and exam guidance to help you build readiness and approach the retake with confidence.

    What topics are covered in the Green Belt training?

    The training covers all five DMAIC phases aligned to the IASSC Green Belt body of knowledge: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. You learn Six Sigma statistics, hypothesis testing, regression, designed experiments, SPC and Lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping and Poka-Yoke.

    Can a beginner take this course, or do I need prior experience?

    Beginners are welcome. The programme builds from core concepts to statistical methods step by step, with hands-on exercises and trainer support, so you do not need prior Six Sigma experience to succeed.

    The programme provides 32 hours of structured, instructor-led learning. It can be delivered as an intensive 4-day format or spread across more days, so you can choose the schedule that fits your work and learning pace.

    Yes. The training includes practice questions aligned to the ICGB exam format along with exercises and knowledge checks, helping you identify weak areas and build exam readiness across the DMAIC phases.
