    The course covers six modules: RCA principles and problem types, problem definition and data collection, the 5 Whys, the Fishbone diagram and advanced tools (FTA and FMEA), the 8D method, and corrective action, verification and building an RCA culture.

    Yes. Practical exercises run throughout the day, including problem-definition and Is / Is Not activities, a 5 Whys investigation, Fishbone construction, and completing an 8D report for a realistic scenario, so you leave able to apply the tools.

    What is the 8D method and is it covered?

    Yes, the 8D (Eight Disciplines) method is covered in full. It is a structured, team-based approach used widely in automotive and manufacturing, taking you from team formation and containment through root cause and permanent corrective action to preventing recurrence.

    Does the course cover ISO 9001 corrective action?

    Yes. The training is grounded in the ISO 9001:2015 corrective action requirement (Clause 10.2) and shows how RCA provides the investigation backbone of a compliant CAPA process, which is valuable in regulated pharmaceutical, medical device and food sectors.
