What is the PgMP certification and who is it for?

Is the PgMP worth it for professionals in Poland?

Yes. With Poland's business services sector running large, strategy-critical programmes, certified programme leaders are in demand across IT, banking and consulting. Senior programme roles reach 300,000 zł and beyond, and the PgMP is held by fewer than 3,000 people worldwide, making it a strong differentiator.

Is PMP required before PgMP?

No. PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PgMP eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is mandatory alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

How long is the PgMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area, within every three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

What is the difference between PgMP and PfMP?

The PgMP is for programme managers who coordinate multiple related projects to deliver defined strategic benefits. The PfMP is for portfolio managers who align many programmes and projects to strategy at the highest level, so PfMP sits one step above PgMP.

Pricing

How much does PgMP training cost in Poland?

PgMP training fees vary by format and provider, and instructor-led places are available on request. The PMI exam fee is billed separately in USD under regional pricing and is not part of the training fee. Request a quote for current Poland pricing.

What is included in the PgMP course fee?

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

Is the exam fee included in the training price?

No. PMI bills the PgMP exam fee separately in USD under regional pricing. For reference, it is around USD 800 for PMI members and USD 1,000 for non-members; verify current fees at pmi.org. Membership also lowers renewal costs.

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are distributed across five performance domains and delivered online or at a test centre.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. It uses single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

Five domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%).

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement by domain, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What if I do not pass the first time?

You have up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm the current amounts at pmi.org.

Where can I take the PgMP exam?

You can take it online via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre, including centres in Poland. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE once your application is approved.

The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus application and panel-review preparation and exam strategy.

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PgMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, an overview of The Standard for Program Management, 4th Edition, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes.

Are there practice tests and mock exams?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the exam outline to help you identify weak areas and build readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PgMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition.

Do I need prior experience to benefit from the training?

The training assumes you already work at programme or senior project level, since PgMP eligibility requires substantial experience. Trainers help you connect your experience to the five domains and the application.

What are the eligibility requirements for PgMP?

PMI offers three eligibility sets. With a secondary diploma you need 84 months of programme management experience plus 48 months of project experience or an active PMP. With a bachelor's degree, 48 months of programme experience; a GAC-accredited degree reduces it to 36 months. All within the past 15 years.

How do I enrol in the PgMP course?
