Why Poland Needs Certified Programme Leaders Now

    Governance Maturity Gap

Poland's business service centres run hundreds of concurrent programmes, yet many still lack a strategy-aligned programme governance layer, the exact gap PgMP is built to close.

Build strategic alignment and governance skills

    Strategy to Execution Gap

Boards fund digital and transformation programmes, but weak links between strategy and the delivery mix cause benefits leakage that programme leaders are hired to fix.

    Build prioritisation and benefits-realisation skills

    Transformation at Scale

Multi-year GBS, banking and ERP transformations demand coordinated management of related projects, programme risk and benefits, not isolated project delivery.

Build coordination and programme risk skills

    Programme Talent Scarcity

Poland has a deep pool of PMP project managers but far fewer credentialed programme managers. Rigorous eligibility and a panel review make PgMP holders rare.

Stand out as a certified programme leader

    Benefits Realisation Pressure

With capital discipline across banking and industry, sponsors expect measurable benefits from every programme, raising demand for leaders who can track and sustain value.

Build value tracking and reporting skills

    Nearshoring Maturity

As global enterprises move higher-value work to Poland, they need senior leaders who can govern complex, cross-border programmes to consistent standards.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHere's everything you may ask...

The PgMP (Program Management Professional) is PMI's senior credential for professionals who manage multiple related projects as one coordinated programme to deliver strategic benefits. It suits senior programme managers, PMP holders moving up, PMO leaders and transformation directors with substantial programme experience.

The PgMP (Program Management Professional) is PMI's senior credential for professionals who manage multiple related projects as one coordinated programme to deliver strategic benefits. It suits senior programme managers, PMP holders moving up, PMO leaders and transformation directors with substantial programme experience.

Yes. With Poland's business services sector running large, strategy-critical programmes, certified programme leaders are in demand across IT, banking and consulting. Senior programme roles reach 300,000 zł and beyond, and the PgMP is held by fewer than 3,000 people worldwide, making it a strong differentiator.

No. PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PgMP eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is mandatory alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area, within every three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

The PgMP is for programme managers who coordinate multiple related projects to deliver defined strategic benefits. The PfMP is for portfolio managers who align many programmes and projects to strategy at the highest level, so PfMP sits one step above PgMP.

    General

What is the PgMP certification and who is it for?

The PgMP (Program Management Professional) is PMI's senior credential for professionals who manage multiple related projects as one coordinated programme to deliver strategic benefits. It suits senior programme managers, PMP holders moving up, PMO leaders and transformation directors with substantial programme experience.

Is the PgMP worth it for professionals in Poland?

Yes. With Poland's business services sector running large, strategy-critical programmes, certified programme leaders are in demand across IT, banking and consulting. Senior programme roles reach 300,000 zł and beyond, and the PgMP is held by fewer than 3,000 people worldwide, making it a strong differentiator.

    Is PMP required before PgMP?

No. PMP is not a mandatory prerequisite. However, an active PMP satisfies the project management experience requirement across all three PgMP eligibility sets, so PMP holders only need to document their programme management experience.

What is the PgMP panel review?

The panel review is a multi-rater assessment unique to the PgMP. A panel of programme management practitioners evaluates your documented experience and competency. It is mandatory alongside the written exam, and both must be passed to earn the credential.

How long is the PgMP valid and how do I renew it?

The PgMP is valid for three years. To maintain it, you earn 60 PDUs across the PMI Talent Triangle, with at least 8 PDUs in each area, within every three-year continuing certification requirements cycle.

What is the difference between PgMP and PfMP?

The PgMP is for programme managers who coordinate multiple related projects to deliver defined strategic benefits. The PfMP is for portfolio managers who align many programmes and projects to strategy at the highest level, so PfMP sits one step above PgMP.

The training fee typically includes PMI-aligned courseware, practice questions, mock exams, downloadable templates, application and panel-review support, learner support and a course completion certificate with contact hours.

    Exam

What is the format of the PgMP exam?

The PgMP exam is a closed-book, multiple-choice examination based on the PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition. Questions are distributed across five performance domains and delivered online or at a test centre.

How many questions are on the PgMP exam and how long is it?

The exam has 170 questions and an allotted time of four hours. It uses single-answer and multiple-answer multiple-choice formats.

What are the PgMP exam domains and their weights?

Five domains: Strategic Program Management (11%), Program Life Cycle Management (44%), Benefits Management (11%), Stakeholder Engagement (16%) and Governance (18%).

What is the passing score for the PgMP exam?

PMI does not publish a fixed pass mark. Results are determined through psychometric analysis and reported as Above Target, Target, Below Target or Needs Improvement by domain, so aim for broad mastery across all five domains.

What if I do not pass the first time?

You have up to three attempts within your one-year eligibility period. Re-examination fees apply to the second and third attempts; confirm the current amounts at pmi.org.

Where can I take the PgMP exam?

You can take it online via Pearson VUE OnVUE proctoring or at a Pearson VUE test centre, including centres in Poland. Scheduling is done through PMI's portal or Pearson VUE once your application is approved.

    Course Content

What topics are covered in the PgMP training?

The training covers the five PgMP performance domains: Strategic Program Management, Program Life Cycle Management, Benefits Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, plus application and panel-review preparation and exam strategy.

    What learning resources are provided?

You receive PMI-aligned courseware, references to the PgMP Examination Content Outline and Handbook, an overview of The Standard for Program Management, 4th Edition, templates, flashcards and topic-wise quizzes.

Are there practice tests and mock exams?

Yes. The programme includes practice questions, full-length mock exams and topic-wise quizzes mapped to the exam outline to help you identify weak areas and build readiness.

Is the courseware aligned with the latest PgMP syllabus?

Yes. The courseware is aligned to the current PgMP Examination Content Outline and The Standard for Program Management, Fourth Edition.

Do I need prior experience to benefit from the training?

The training assumes you already work at programme or senior project level, since PgMP eligibility requires substantial experience. Trainers help you connect your experience to the five domains and the application.

    Enrollment

What are the eligibility requirements for PgMP?

PMI offers three eligibility sets. With a secondary diploma you need 84 months of programme management experience plus 48 months of project experience or an active PMP. With a bachelor's degree, 48 months of programme experience; a GAC-accredited degree reduces it to 36 months. All within the past 15 years.

How do I enrol in the PgMP course?

You can enrol through the Invensis Learning website. Choose your preferred format, complete payment, and you will receive access to schedules, courseware and learning resources.

    What training formats are available?

We offer live online (virtual instructor-led) training, classroom training and customised corporate group training, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule.

    How soon can I start?

New live online and classroom cohorts run regularly. See upcoming schedules or talk to a learning advisor to pick the next batch that suits you.

Can I reschedule or transfer to another batch?

Yes. Flexi options let you reschedule or transfer to another batch. Contact support to arrange this before your cohort begins.
